Project 366 Week 36

It’s been a busy week with school, work and getting our new downstairs toilet put in.

Here’s our week in pictures…

Day 248 – Sunday 4th September – the day got off to a bad start, with a phone call from my husband to say he’d had a bike crash. He’s bruised and bloody, but he’s basically OK. Thank goodness!

Day 249 – Monday 5th September – my eldest and my daughter went back to school – year 11 for my eldest and year 6 for my daughter. Work continued on our downstairs toilet.

Day 250 – Tuesday 6th September – I had lots of work on and the tiles are going up in the downstairs toilet!

Day 251 – Wednesday 7th September – my younger son was back to school for the start of year 8. Notice there’s only one new pair of school shoes this year!

Day 252 – Thursday 8th September – I did a 12 mile run today and I really don’t think I could have managed another mile! This photo in no way does justice to how red and sweaty I was.

Day 253 – Friday 9th September – we can use the new toilet and sink now. It’s great to actually have another working toilet in the house. We’re just waiting for a big mirror and the lighting to be done next week to really finish it off.

Day 254 – Saturday 10th September – this is happening! My daughter is sitting her grammar school entrance exam. She’s worked really hard towards it, so I’m very proud of her, whatever the outcome.

  1. Ooh the very best of luck to your daughter for today, I am sure she will do brilliantly as ever. And I’m so glad you’ve nearly finished your downstairs toilet, I look forward to snapping out of my strange obsession with liking photos of toilets on Instagram.
    Nat.x

  2. Hope the grammar school exam went well and she gets the results she wants. Hope their first week back at school’s gone well too. Love the bathroom tiles. Looks really nice

  3. I LOVE your downstairs toilet Sarah. Ours could do with a good revamp as it’s just boring and uninspiring at the moment. Would love to tile it like yours. Hope everything went well with the exam yesterday. When do you get the results? x

    1. Thanks very much. Rather embarrassingly, we’ve actually got FOUR toilets, but they don’t all work! It’s good to have another one that both works and looks nice!

  4. Ouch at the accident, glad all was ok though.
Hated only having one bathroom when the kids were young, and have had a few houses with en-suites which are a godsend, Nice to have the work finished and it is looking good.
That was a good run, well done you
