It’s been a pretty boring week as we all get back into routine of school, work and endless extra-curricular activities. I’ve been feeling very uninspired with my photos and have hardly even posted anything on Instagram.
Here’s our week in pictures…
Day 248 – Sunday 6th September – my husband suddenly decided to reorganise our bedroom. Everything has been moved, removed or thrown away. It was hard work, but finally we have a bit of space.
Day 249 – Monday 7th September – I went to the physio to start sorting out my ITB so I can get back to running. Now I just have to keep up with the exercises every day!
Day 250 – Tuesday 8th September – I didn’t used to use my car much, but since my son started secondary school it’s become a real mum’s taxi. I feel like I’m in it all the time and the fuel is certainly going down a lot faster!
Day 251 – Wednesday 9th September – I’m back in the swing of working while the kids are at school. Sadly, the house is getting colder and I’ve already started wearing two hoodies!
Day 252 – Thursday 10th September – as is always the case when the kids go back to school, the weather has suddenly turned beautiful and warm and sunny. It was 23 degrees today! I swear it didn’t hit that temperature at all during the the summer holidays.
Day 253 – Friday 11th September – a real advantage of working at home in the warmer weather is being able to work in the garden. This is one of the last remaining flowers and it’s still going very strong.
Day 254 – Saturday 12th September – I was going to share a Parkrun picture, but then I forgot to take one! So, apologies for the rather graphic image, this is one of the realities of life on Roaccutane – I am constantly cutting myself as my skin is so delicate (more about that on the blog next week).

It has been a long week hasn’t it….I was shattered by last night!
Good luck with your exercises!
I want your car! It’s so cool!
Ouchie….I hope your cut isn’t as bad as it looks x
September 12, 2015
Thanks very much! I’m fed up of my exercises already, but I have to keep going. I love my car and the cut wasn’t too bad really! x
September 12, 2015
Ouch, that looks sore – hope it heals quickly.
The weather has been lovely here since the kids went back to school – just typical! I love your car by the way 🙂 #365
September 12, 2015
Thanks very much. The weather has been good here for the last few weeks. I love my car too 🙂
September 12, 2015
Your bedroom looks so clear!! I’m trying to work out those ITB exercises although I do try and do some regularly alongside the yoga but always panic it will go again at any time! Love your car 😉
September 12, 2015
Thanks very much. The bedroom is transformed! Hope your ITB stays OK. I’m bored of my exercises already!
September 12, 2015
Ouch I didn’t know that was a side effect of your meds, sounds bit painful but hope you’re able to come off them off for good soon. I love the colour of your car, and I think I’d always feel like I was in the Italian job. If your hubby fancies doing any more decluttering or cleaning please send him over here 😉
September 13, 2015
Ha ha, he’s still hard at work on hours. He’s moved on to painting the window frames and door frame in our room. It’s probably going to be another year until I come off the meds!
September 12, 2015
Your car is fab! I love the colour. Your face is looking much clearer too, just a shame the medication is thining your skin so! Typical weather now they are back at school hey!
September 13, 2015
Thank you! I love my car too. It’s such a relief my skin is better, but the bleeding knuckles are annoying!
September 12, 2015
I agree it’s been a long week. I think your skin is looking amazing lovely. Love the car. And hope you have a good weekend Hugs x
September 13, 2015
Thanks very much! My skin is so nearly there now! I love my car too 🙂 x
September 12, 2015
we have had some sun lotion days and some jumper days here (and raincoats) such a mix bag of weather but i fear that autumn is def upon us now.
your bedroom looks so tidy – please feel free to come to my house and help me declutter my rooms!!! And your skin has really improved lovely 🙂 xx
September 13, 2015
Thanks very much, I’m very pleased with my skin now. Sadly I’m no good at decluttering – it’s a good job my husband is very good at it! I can’t believe the weather we’ve had this week. Long may it continue! x
September 12, 2015
It’s felt like a really long week here too! I wish my bedroom looked that tidy 🙂 That’s a nasty side effect of your meds, but your skin is looking SO much better x
September 13, 2015
Thank you! I’ll take the bleeding knuckles in return for the improved skin. I don’t suppose the bedroom tidiness will last. It’s about 100 times better than it was before!
September 13, 2015
It hasn’t been two hoody wearing weather here, although it has been bizarre – reaching top temp at 3pm. Ouch to your skin
September 13, 2015
It was just the one day where it was cold, then it got really warm, although the house is often colder than outside.
September 13, 2015
The bedroom is looking good. Hadn’t realised that you had that side effect – shows what a powerful drug it is.
September 14, 2015
Thanks very much! Yes, it’s a very powerful drug, which works by drying out the skin. Great for acne, not so great for the rest of your body!
September 13, 2015
the temperature changes have been mad haven’t they. My hsuband is the glorified taxi driver, the colour of your car makes it look like you have a New York taxi :0
September 14, 2015
Thanks very much, I never thought that about my car, but I can see what you mean! (Far too small to be one though!)
September 13, 2015
Two hoodies already?! I’ve been a bit cold this week too and actually I’m sitting here in a coat at the moment but I think that’s tiredness 🙁 I’m already not enjoying the ‘mum taxi’ aspect of being back at school. x
September 14, 2015
It’s a slippery slope once I get onto the two hoodies, but actually only ended up wearing them for the one day! I’d forgotten how relentless the mum taxi was and ours has got a lot worse with the new school run.
September 13, 2015
Impressive that your husband did the decluttering and reorganising. I’m going through decluttering at the moment, but didn’t do any this weekend. Need to get back to it.
September 14, 2015
It’s a soul destroying job, but so worth it in the end! I’m lucky that my husband is so good at it.
September 14, 2015
Yes, it’s typical that the weather would be better after the kids have gone back to school than it was in the holidays!
September 17, 2015
ouch that must be difficult to deal with the side effects of the medication, but your skin is looking really good at the moment. Love the cushions on your bed
