I’ve always been a fan of personalised photo gifts. What could be better than one of your favourite photos on a cushion, a suitcase or a canvas print? They’re beautiful memories and totally unique. I came across Bags of Love, which has a huge range of gifts, including blankets, duvet covers and wash bags. I decided to order a tea towel, as a Christmas present for my mum, and a cushion, as a Christmas present for my mother-in-law.
The website is very easy to use and there are lots of options to make the perfect gift. For the cushions, you have the option of feather or poly fibre, a choice of three colours or a photo design for the back of the cushion and even a choice of two zip fastenings. You can choose a single image or several different designs for multiple images. I went for the ‘scatter’ design, which is like throwing your photos in a messy pile! As I was using seven pictures, there was some duplication, but I was happy with that. You can obviously use more images and get less duplication.
The cushion came very quickly and I was very pleased with the appearance and the quality. I’m sure my mother-in-law will love it, but I’m not too keen to hand it over! I really would like to keep it as it’s so lovely.
Tea towels from Bags of Love come in a choice of cotton linen and 100% microfibre and with a choice of edges. I went for the cotton linen and a standard edge. As with the cushions, there are a range of ways you can arrange your photos. I again went for a design with multiple images (I have to be sure all of the kids appear an equal number of times, of course). This time I went for the ‘photo frame’ layout, which shows the individual pictures more clearly. The whole thing was laid out on a enlarged version of one of the images, so you just get an impression of colours in the background, which works very well.
Again, the tea towel was delivered quickly and I was very pleased with the way the images had come out and with the quality of the product. I just know my mum will be very happy with her Christmas present.
If you’re looking for personalised photo presents, for Christmas, birthday or any other occasion, it’s definitely worth checking out Bags of Love. (Now if only my family would check it out – nobody ever thinks to get me a gift like this!)
We were sent a cushion and tea towel for the purposes of this review. All opinions are our own.
As I never use recognisable images of my kids on my blog, images are taken from the Bags of Love website.

These sound like nice gifts. People always seem to appreciate a personalised gift so much more, I know I do.

Ooh this is a lovely looking place with nice ideas. I wonder if they do mugs? I keep telling myself I’ll get one with the boys photo on it!

They definitely do mugs! It’s incredible how much they do.

I love photo gifts – they’re always such a lovely personal thing to give as a present. I’ve made my mum a calendar with her kids and grandchildren in it 😀

I’ve been doing calendars for the grandparents and uncles and aunties since my younger son was a baby – he’s 13 now!
