Project 366 Week 8

The last week of February has been a pretty quiet one, with the kids back at school and me busy working at home.

Here’s our week in pictures…

Day 52 – Sunday 21st February – I took my daughter to meet her best friend from the panto. They formed such a close bond over the course of eight weeks. We live in opposite directions from the theatre, so it’s the first time they had been able to meet since the panto ended. Now they just both need to get into this year’s panto – and be on the same team!

Day 53 – Monday 22nd – more changes to the corner of our garden, after work by my son and husband last week.

Garden, DIY, 365, 366

Day 54 – Tuesday 23rd February – took my daughter to the school disco (yes, they do have school discos on strange days!) and this was the sky as I was walking back.

Sunset, Sky, 365, 366

Day 55 – Wednesday 24th February – a frosty morning and a busy day of work. This tiny tulip in our garden has made it through the frost!

Tulip, Garden, Spring, 365, 366

Day 56 – Thursday 25th February – the frost melted quickly this morning, but the fleecy headband had a rare outing on my run this morning. This year I’m keeping a record of miles run for the first time – today I hit 100 miles in 2016!

Selfie, Running, 365, 366

Day 57 – Friday 26th February – this photo is a bit blurry as I took it through the window. My daughter is taking photos of the daffodils in our garden for a photography competition at school.

Daughter, Camera, Photography, 365, 366

Day 58 – Saturday 27th February – Saturday is Parkrun day! I shared some of our recent Parkrun triumphs earlier this week, but there were no triumphs this week. Just me running with my daughter for the first time in a few weeks, while my husband and eldest ran on ahead.

  1. gosh all of you do the park run. Nice idea to keep a total of your miles. I had started logging my aerobic workouts but then I missed a few days and got out of the habit.
Nice to see the garden coming on.

    • Thanks very much. Four out of five of us do Parkrun. I’ve never logged my miles before, but it’s interesting to see how far I run.

  3. 100 miles! That’s awesome! I’m using my Fitbit to keep track of my walking. My fondest memories are always around theatre productions!

    • Thanks very much! I had no idea how far I actually run in a year, but now I’m getting an idea. I did theatre productions as a teenager and they were my happiest times too!

  4. Some big changes to the garden. What do you have planned for that corner? Can’t believe you have tulips already.

    • We’re just going to grass the corner! We want to avoid weeds as much as possible!

  6. 100 miles already? That’s amazing! I bet the girls were plotting their auditions for next year’s panto already. I hope they get in too 🙂

    • I’ve amazed myself how quickly I’ve got to 100 miles, considering I’m only run short distances this year. The girls certainly are plotting! They will definitely ask to be in the same team if they both get in.

  9. 100 miles already is brilliant considering you only run short distances really. I remain impressed that so many of you get out to the Parkrun! I’ve just treated myself to a bunch of tulips, I would love to not have to buy them!

  10. Wow Sarah well done on running 100 miles before we even get into March. How lovely that your daughter met up with her friend she met whilst doing Panto. Our school has the disco during school hours which is also a little strange, but on the upside no ferrying kids to it. Have a good week Sarah x

    • Thanks very much. It was so nice to get my daughter together with her friend. I really hope they can be together again in panto this year. A school disco in school time is very strange too! x
