Last week, I mainly moaned about being cold. This week, things have improved slightly weather-wise, at least. In myself, I’ve felt tired, stressed and unhappy, which I’m blaming on the nasty eye infection I’ve had for the last six weeks.
Here’s our week in pictures.
Day 39 – Sunday 8th February – after the usual cold, cloudy morning at rugby, something amazing happened – the sun came out! This sky is most definitely blue.
Day 40 – Monday 9th February – this is my view most of the time. I sit at my desk in the spare room and look at the magnolia tree outside the window. Again, it was nice to see a bit of sunlight and blue sky for a change.
Day 41 – Tuesday 10th February – my mum knitted this jumper for my daughter’s beloved Teddy.
Day 42 – Wednesday 11th February – weirdo that I am, I quite like an ugly selfie. But, even for me, it took a lot of bravery to include this one. I have a nasty eye infection in both eyes (this photo doesn’t do it justice at all) and my acne has got out of control.
Day 43 – Thursday 12th February – emergency hospital appointment for my eye infection. It has a name now – blepharitis – and a course of treatment, which is going to take a long time.
Day 44 – Friday 13th February – the kids have been doing circus skills at school all this week and today I went to school to see them perform. That’s my girl on the tightrope!
Day 45 – Saturday 14th February – we do celebrate Valentine’s Day, but we don’t go over the top. This is my card to my husband – I don’t like either slushy cards or funny/ rude cards, so that leaves me with very little choice!

Really sorry to hear about your eye, sounds nasty. Looks like the treatment is a pain too but hopefully you’ll see an improvement soon. Love the teddy jumper too! Take care xx
February 14, 2015
Thanks very much! I’m surprised how much the damn eye infection has taken out of me – I’m not sure if it’s physical or psychological, but I’m feeling quite drained by it. The endless doctor’s appointments for it don’t help! I love the Teddy jumper too! 🙂 x

So sorry to hear about your eyes, I do hope you get some relief soon. It does help escaping outside and breathing in some lovely fresh air. Great view from your window too 🙂

February 15, 2015
aargh, blepharitis – I’m prone to that. Annoying, but I manage to keep it at bay these days by having occasional breaks from my contact lenses and by using eyelid cleansing wipes every day. Hope you feel better soon!
February 15, 2015
That’s good to know you manage to keep it under control. I need to track down those eyelid cleansing wipes!
February 15, 2015
Hope the eye infection clears up soon. It must be really miserable. The view from your desk will be stunning when that magnolia tree comes into flower.

Oh you poor thing, I hate the germs and nasties around at this time of year. I hope that your acne isn’t too painful, I’ve got some along my jaw and chin which are so painful.
Thanks for linking up to Project 365.
February 16, 2015
Thanks very much! Acne can be so painful, although this is mainly sore and dry, due to the effects of the roaccutane.
