In terms of pictures, this week has been a pretty uneventful one, but it was a big one because my daughter went away for the first time ever – on her school residential.
So here’s our week in pictures…
Day 320 – Sunday 16th November – the usual Sunday morning in two different places for rugby. Sometimes my daughter dresses sensibly, but today she was a very welcome flash of colour on a grey morning on the touchline.
Day 321 – Monday 17th November – my daughter did her packing ready for her residential trip. Yes, she really is that neat! I wasn’t allowed to get involved as I’m not neat enough.
Day 322 – Tuesday 18th November – I just caught this amazing sunset at exactly the right time.
Day 323 – Wednesday 19th November – my lovely girl went off on her school trip, leaving Mummy and Daddy to care for this little man.
Day 324 – Thursday 20th November – my younger son was lucky enough to win some K’Nex in a competition, so he’s been busy building!
Day 325 – Friday 21st November – my lovely girl got back from her school trip and was most definitely NOT TIRED. She was just very quiet, watched a lot of telly and had that glazed expression I only ever see on my younger son after a Scout camp or sleepover. I doubt many 8 year olds would have such an organised case after a school residential.
Day 326 – Saturday 23rd November – I got to watch my son play football for the first time in weeks. Sadly they were defeated for only the second time this season – and look at the state of that pitch! I think that really is the epitome of grassroots football.

Not sure I’d achieve that level of neatness especially on the way back. Glad she had a good time.

Thanks very much, she had a fab time! She’s always so tidy, she certainly doesn’t get it from me!

That sunset is beautiful, what a pretty pink. Love your daughters boots, and her case is very neat 🙂 That’s an impressive K’Nex sculpture!

We were very lucky to get those wellies to review, I would never buy Hunter wellies for a child! My son has had a brilliant time building KNex this week.
November 22, 2014
I love how neat your girl is!! And the k-nex looks great – will check it out for the boy 🙂
November 23, 2014
KNex is a really great building toy – good for following instructions and for using the imagination. It’s better value than Lego too. I love how neat my daughter is too – I don’t know where she gets it from!
November 22, 2014
Definitely a nice bright outfit.
Can’t believe your daughter’s so immaculate after being away from home. My case on the return is always rammed and struggling to shut, compared to the outbound journey!
We Beautiful sunset!

My daughter is amazing with her tidiness, I don’t know where she gets it from! It was an incredible sunset that day 🙂

I love your daughter’s outfit, especially those funky wellies! She really is neat, I couldn’t pack a case like that! Hope she had an awesome time 🙂
November 23, 2014
She had a brilliant time, thanks! I love her outfit too. And as for the neatness?! I have no idea where that comes from!
November 23, 2014
Glad she enjoyed her residential!! Loving her outfit on the rugby pitch – the K-Nex would have me worrying about picking up all the little bits
November 23, 2014
She loved the residential, thanks. I had to be very careful with the hoover and those KNex bits this week!
November 23, 2014
Blimey that is a very neat case, and some organisation, even afterwards! Glad she had a good time though and that you have her back home 🙂
November 24, 2014
Thank you! It’s so nice to have her back 🙂
November 23, 2014
Awww glad she enjoyed her time away, and well done you survived too
November 24, 2014
Thank you! I have to get used to it – they seem to go away more and more as they get older!
November 23, 2014
I love your daughters colourful rugby outfit, that would definitely brighten up a dark morning – and I am super impressed with the case packing! #365
November 24, 2014
Thanks very much! She’s so neat and tidy 🙂
November 23, 2014
My kids pack their own stuff, admittedly not that neat except for the eldest who is very particular. It’s a good thing for them in becoming independent.
November 24, 2014
It certainly is! To be fair, I don’t make her do it, she just does it of her own accord!
November 23, 2014
I wish my duaghter was half as neat as yours. That’s a beautiful sunset.
November 24, 2014
Thanks very much! The sunset was lucky timing! My daughter is amazing – I don’t know where she gets it from!
