You’re right – he’s playing Pokemon! It’s rare for him to sit down while playing, but he had put an ‘incense’ down to attract lots of Pokemon straight to him.
I completely missed the phone in the picture and was very impressed with seeing a child of that age just sitting outside. Pokemon Go hasn’t been allowed here as none of them have internet and/or a phone – and it drains my battery.
Pokemon Go has been brilliant for him. He has run and walked so far this summer. Luckily he has his own phone – I wouldn’t be happy with him taking mine!

He had an ‘incense’, so all the Pokemon came to him for half an hour. Apparently they work best if you’re a long way from other Pokemon!
