Dancewear from Dancewear Central: Review

We’ve had some lovely things to review on this blog, and for that I’m very grateful. But very rarely have we had anything to review that fits OUR family perfectly – and wouldn’t be relevant to a lot of other families. So I’m particularly grateful to Dancewear Central for getting in touch. They know we are just the right family for their products! And it’s really nice to review something which I can say, hand on heart, will be used every single week by this family.

Dancewear Central, Dancewear Central review, ballet, tap

Dancewear Central is the UK’s number 1 dancewear specialist and they got in touch to find out if we’d like to try anything from their site. Is the Pope Catholic?!

Regular readers will know my daughter is a talented dancer, who enjoys ballet, tap, street dance and contemporary classes. But what readers may not be aware of is, she’s never had a new pair of ballet shoes!

My daughter’s first three pairs of ballet shoes all came out of my mum’s loft! They belonged to either me or my sister. Her most recent pair of ballet shoes was lent to her by a friend, who has an older sister and many older friends who have all danced, and is therefore a bottomless pit of borrowed dancewear!

So we jumped at the chance of getting my daughter some brand new, soft leather ballet shoes from Dancewear Central. To be honest, if I’d known they only cost £4.95, I might have bought her a new pair earlier! My daughter was absolutely thrilled to have a pair of ballet shoes of her very own after all this time!

It won’t surprise you to discover that she has been tapping away in second-hand tap shoes since she started tap dancing over a year ago. As it happens, she had very recently got a brand new pair of tap shoes, but there was a problem – the 2s were too small and the 3s were too big! So we were very pleased to discover that Dancewear Central do tap shoes in half sizes and the 2.5s fit her perfectly. And, most importantly, they make a good sound too.

Tap shoes, Tap dancing, Dancewear CentralMy daughter’s lovely package of dancewear was finished off with this fun, stretchy black dance vest with the words Dancing star on it. This will be perfect for her contemporary classes. The sizing is pretty small, so I’m glad we opted for an age 10.

Dancewear Central usually has a huge range of dancewear for girls, boys and adults. They usually despatch orders within 24 hours and offer free delivery for orders over £60. We would certainly check out Dancewear Central in the future.
