Project 365: Week 20

It’s been a busier week than sometimes. Between the freelance work I went on a school trip and walked 10 miles for Cancer Research with Emma’s Army and Crazy with Twins.

So here’s our week in pictures…

Day 131 – Sunday 11th May – today didn’t quite go to plan. With the rugby season finally over, I was looking forward to watching my younger son play in a football tournament, but instead I ended up at A&E. My eldest had pushed my daughter over on Friday (as brothers do) and she’d sprained her wrist (just three months after she last did it).

Day 132 – Monday 12th May – my daughter was very excited to be wearing football kit to school. She loves football and was proud that she had the full Man Utd kit (the top is hers, but the the socks and shorts were borrowed from her brother) when most girls turned up to school in a butterfly Tshirt and denim shorts!

Day 133 – Tuesday 13th May – it was one of those days where torrential rain was interspersed with bright sunshine. Every time I looked up, the weather seemed to have changed dramatically.

Day 134 – Wednesday 14th May – some more flowers have appeared in my garden! I love this purple one.

Day 135 – Thursday 15th May – I didn’t intend to post two pics of my outside table this week, but I said my world had shrunk right down! This was my ‘office’ on the hottest day of the year so far.

Day 136 – Friday 16th May – I went on a school trip with my daughter to the Ashmolean and Pitt Rivers museums in Oxford to look at the ancient Egyptian artefacts, which were incredible. I won’t necessarily go on a school trip again in a hurry though!

Day 137 – Saturday 17th May – my eldest and I joined Emma’s Army to walk part of the Cotswold Way. It was very hot and sunny, but we did it!(That’s Emma in the middle with team members Katie and Julie.)

  2. Excellent museum. I didn’t know it was there until I went with tutors from GlosCol.

Much nearer than London. Why on earth isn’t it used more by local schools?

  7. Wow! Emma went blonde?! Well done on walking with her. I really wish I could have done it but sadly the timing just didn’t work for me.
I have that exact same macro shot from my garden. I wish I knew what he flower was.

    • Yep, Emma went blonde! Scarily she now looks almost identical to my other friend Emma, which I’m finding very strange. I’m rubbish at knowing what flowers are, but I’m loving seeing them all appear.

  8. What a varied week you’ve had! I love that purple flower – great shot. And well done on your Emma’s Army walk. What an achievement but hard work in this beautiful hot weather, I bet! x

    • Thanks very much. The walk wasn’t too bad, as there was a lot of shade. I had images of us out in the open with the sun beating down, but luckily it wasn’t like that. x

  11. That looks like the perfect office to me, well as long as it isn’t raining. I have bought some new garden furniture this week so that I have the outside option too as there have to be some benefits to this working from home business doesn’t there? I love the flower photo, they are so beautiful.

    • Definitely have to be some benefits of working from home, not that it’s gone that well for me this week!
