Project 365: Week 12
Day 75 – Sunday 16th March – a lovely warm, sunny day! I captured these catkins against a blue sky. They’re very slightly blurry as the wind was blowing.
Day 76 – Monday 17th March – the younger kids started work on a whole school production of The Lion King. This is my daughter learning songs!
Day 77 – Tuesday 18th March – my colleagues went on an away day, leaving just two of us who are taking redundancy to run the office. It was a tiring day and I was very grateful for these biscuits from an ex-colleague who popped in.
Day 78 – Wednesday 19th March – my time in Gloucester is drawing to a close. This is a standard Gloucester sight – a seagull. My office is the ugly building on the left
Day 79 – Thursday 20th March – when my first daffodil came out, I was smug that it was a proper bright yellow one (my favourites). Turns out the majority are these pale ones. Still nice, but not as good.
Day 80 – Friday 21st March – the big day! My kids performed their Lion King show. My son smashed it as Rafiki and I absolutely loved his make-up.
Day 81 – Saturday 22nd March – a busy day with too much sport and too much grumpiness! Decided to share my favourite picture rather than the one of my son playing rugby in the hail. This is my daughter getting ready for a party.

Glad the Lion King went off so well. I bet they were exhausted today after working hard to learn it all in one week.

The make up on your son is amazing! I can’t believe they were only rehearsing for a few days before the big day! My son has a big role in his school play this week, they have been rehearsing for about 6 weeks – not a lot of school work going on but plenty of material for #loudnproud!

Oh wow Sarah I love the Lion King make-up, I bet the show was ace too. I’ll be a blubbering wreck when POD’s at school and doing things like that!! Last Sunday was just glorious, such a shame it didn’t stay – great catkins/blue sky shot though. Superb plaiting skills 🙂

Gald the Lion King went well, your son looks amazing as Rafiki………ours did Aladdin and Kian was the Sultan. Makes you really proud doesn’t it.

Thank you very much, everyone. The make-up is amazing, isn’t it? I can’t take any credit! They really enjoyed working on it and the production was fabulous. (There were tears from me Charly!)
The seagull shot was just one of those lucky ones that turned out better than I expected it too!
