How was Christmas dinner? The highlight of the year? Plates piled high with succulent turkey and perfectly cooked goose fat potatoes? Christmas dinner in our family isn’t the easiest thing – with vegetarian and nearly vegetarian, food intolerances and some serious fussiness. Christmas day part 1

So we are doing Christmas day at our house this year. I use the term ‘we’ fairly loosely because it’s actually my husband. I am very much the sous chef, commis chef (whatever they are) or the kitchen porter. I lay the table and drain the vegetables. I don’t do the actual cooking.
