Project 365 2015 Week 19

Day 123 – Sunday 3rd May – my sister and her family only live round the corner, but haven’t been round during our kitchen works. When they came round, my daughter grabbed the camera to take a photo of her new baby cousin (and, yes, she did do that amazing hairstyle herself!)

I love this photo she took of her toddler cousin.

Day 124 – Monday 4th May – we went for a walk up the Malverns.

Day 125 – Tuesday 5th May – I should have been working, but seemed to spend far too much of my day cycling around in the wind running errands! I spotted a couple of bluebells in the garden in between errands.

Day 126 – Wednesday 6th May – I actually did manage to get some work done today, which was a relief! These clematis are growing above our shed. The photo doesn’t do them justice.

Day 127 – Thursday 7th May – the big day! Yes, the election, but also my daughter’s Royal Ballet Junior Associate audition in Birmingham.

Day 128 – Friday 8th May – two weeks since my last dermatologist’s appointment and two weeks until my next one. I’ve been feeling pretty down about my skin this week, but even though it’s still looking horrendous, I’m pleased to say it’s started to turn a corner.

Bad skin, Acne, Rosacea

Day 129 – Saturday 9th May – a pretty boring day as I had to stay in all morning waiting for someone to come and mend the hob. Went out in the afternoon to get supplies for my son’s French exchange next week.

Sadly, TheBoyandMe is no longer able to host 365, but we are continuing to take part in a blog hop with other bloggers, so hop on over to check what others have been up to this week!

    • Thanks very much! The ballet went well, but there are so many people audition that I don’t hold out much hope. I have fond memories of French exchanges too – getting on for 30 years for me!

  2. French exchange? Good luck when the french student comes back – The Inbetweeners springs to mind! Hope he has a good time πŸ™‚ Loving your daughter’s hair. My middle one spends hours doing different hairstyles, so much so that her and her friends have started a You Tube channel with tutorials for hair, make up and other such nonsense! I’m sure your daughter could do an excellent job πŸ™‚ Glad your skin has started to turn a corner too. x

    • Eek! I haven’t given much thought yet to the exchange boy coming here, but it’s only six weeks away! My daughter would probably love to watch your daughter’s YouTube channel! It’s a slow process for the skin, but hopefully it’s heading in the right direction. x

    • Thank you! The clematis is brilliant, but couldn’t get a close-up as it’s so high! I love the pic my daughter took πŸ™‚ The audition went well, but there are hundreds of kids audition for a handful of places, so the odds are stacked against her.

    • You’re on holiday, you don’t need to be reading my blog! She is so good at hair! She tries to do mine, but mine is the wrong texture, apparently!

  4. Hope the French exchange goes well. Glad you hear your skin is starting to improve a little. Love your clematis – I had a rampant clematis montana at my first house and it was glorious this time of year.

    • He’s really excited about the French exchange, which I think is a good start. It’s a long, slow process for the skin, but we’re getting there gradually. We seem to have clematis everywhere in this garden – although I think all of it belongs to our various neighbours rather than us (we have four or five gardens backing onto ours!).

  10. We’ve got a clematis like that too, in full bloom, you’ve reminded to take some photos before it fades. Good luck with the exchange and your skin. Kaz x

    • Our clematis has got even better now! To be honest, it’s not ours – it’s a neighbour’s, but it’s all over our wall!
