It’s been a week full of chaos and disruption. Yes, our kitchen works finally got properly underway!
Here’s our week in pictures…
Day 88 – Sunday 29th March – my younger son’s County Cup rugby competition. The rain, wind and mud were unbelievable. (There’s no filter on this picture, that’s what the weather genuinely looked like.) The result wasn’t what we’d hoped for, either!
Day 89 – Monday 30th March – finally! We’re onto daily work in the kitchen. There’s nothing at all left in the kitchen or dining room and today it was all about the electrics.
Day 90 – Tuesday 31st March – where does your big dining table go when your dining room has been emptied? In your lounge of course. Right in front of your telly. Having the kitchen done is so much fun! If I say ‘It’ll be worth it in the end’ enough times, I might start to believe it.
Day 91 – Wednesday 1st April – We have kitchen cupboards! Well, the start of them, anyway.
Day 92 – Thursday 2nd April – I found this cat sat in our skip! I have no idea who he is, but he sat there happily for a long time.
Day 93 – Friday 3rd April – the builder didn’t come today, so we had a peaceful day, albeit one surrounded by disruption. These are the wall cupboards that went in yesterday.
Day 94 – Saturday 4th April – today felt like a proper spring day, the tulips are out and nobody wants to see another picture of a dusty kitchen (least of all me!).
Linking to Project 365 with TheBoyandMe Pop over to see what others have been doing with their week.

That cat definitely looks comfortable. I bet you can’t wait for that kitchen to be finished now – at least it looks like the beginning of the end 🙂
April 4, 2015
Thanks very much! It definitely is the beginning of the end now – I reckon another week and we’ll be very nearly there!
April 4, 2015
Gosh you must have the patience of a saint with your kitchen! I’m sure it will be fab and worth the wait 🙂
April 5, 2015
Thanks! My patience is starting to wear a bit thin, but I know it will be worth it.
April 4, 2015
But your table is lovely even if it is in the lounge! How exciting, I can’t wait to see your kitchen finished. Happy Easter
April 5, 2015
Thank you! Hopefully I’ll have pictures of something resembling a kitchen next week. Happy Easter to you, too.
April 4, 2015
Glad your kitchen is taking shape at last….sort of! You’ll get there but feel your pain in the journey 🙁 Lovely tulips at the end there. X
April 5, 2015
Thanks very much! It’s definitely making progress, but we’re at the most frustrating bit now, I think! x
April 4, 2015
That cat is quite beautiful isn’t it? Hope the next week brings lots of changes in your kitchen. One day you’ll back and smile at all the temporary chaos. Well….maybe.
April 5, 2015
Definitely! I can hardly remember the chaos of moving a house and moving into the temporary house, so I’m sure I will forget. I loved spotting the cat in the skip – so cute!
April 5, 2015
Lovely photos from the week, hope your kitchen is completed soon. x
April 5, 2015
Thanks very much! Hopefully only a couple of weeks to go!
April 5, 2015
My mum has moved a lot since I was a teenager and every house has had a new kitchen put in, sometimes a bathroom too! It’s a nightmare I really hope it is finished soon x
April 5, 2015
Wow, that’s crazy! I don’t know how she could stand it! I think it’ll be a couple more weeks, but most of the work should be done in another week. x
April 5, 2015
Love the cat pic. Good to see the cupboards going back in. At least you can see it taking shape now.
April 5, 2015
The cat was a surprising find! It’s great to see it taking shape, thanks 🙂
April 5, 2015
Oh gosh all that work and mess….
It really will be worth it though
April 5, 2015
Thanks, tell me about it! I’m looking forward to it all being over!
April 5, 2015
Your kitchen is coming along isn’t it. Having the table in the lounge will be a novelty for the kids I’m sure. Bet you’ll be glad when it’s back in its proper place though
April 5, 2015
I will definitely be glad! Thanks. As you say, the kids aren’t bothered at all, they like the novelty!
April 5, 2015
The rugby pic makes me shudder just looking at it. I think the cat must have liked your old carpets and hurrah to the kitchen coming on
April 5, 2015
The rugby weather was horrible! It was definitely the carpet that attracted the cat 🙂
April 5, 2015
must be a total mad house at the moment for you but the kitchen seems to be coming along quite quickly!! xx
April 5, 2015
It is mad! We’d had a few bits done on previous weekends, so it seems to be moving quickly now, thank goodness! x
April 5, 2015
just how are you managing to feed a family of 5 daily? surely you can’t be eating out every time
April 5, 2015
We’re not! There’s a lot of microwave meals, plus some very simple pasta dishes on a miniature hob! It’s not a lot of fun and it’s hard work.
April 5, 2015
Nevermind least you will have some great pics of your awesome new kitchen to share before long ;).
Love the flower shot, very pretty.
Happy Easter x
April 5, 2015
Thanks very much! I’m looking forward to sharing those finished kitchen pics! Happy Easter!
April 5, 2015
aww Sarah deep breaths this time next week your kitchen will look amazing i am sure! .. hope you managed to escape some this weekend lovely x
April 5, 2015
I know, I keep telling myself that! It was the same when we moved house.
April 5, 2015
That’s very true! Thanks very much. x
April 6, 2015
What a chaotic week for you but you can sure see the progress in the kitchen x
April 8, 2015
You definitely can see progress! It’s looking even better now, thank goodness! x
April 6, 2015
Hope the cat does not get taken away with the skip, he seems content sat there.
Oh dear at the upset caused by the kitchen make over, I hope it is all worth it.
Love the vibrant red of the tulip and a great shadow behind it.
April 8, 2015
Thanks very much! I was pleased with the shadow behind the tulip too. The stress of the kitchen will definitely be worth it, but it’s not a lot of fun at the moment! Funnily enough, the cat hasn’t been back, even though he looked so happy there!
April 7, 2015
Glad to see you’re making progress, so disruptive though! It will be worth it 😉 Love the tulip!
April 8, 2015
Thanks very much, it definitely will be worth it!
April 8, 2015
it will be worth it!!!! eventually. i bet the kids are enjoying having the dining table next to the TV!!!

April 8, 2015
Oh yes, the kids are very happy with the dining table right next to the TV! I can’t bear it!
April 10, 2015
Wow, your kitchen must have driven you mad with it all over the place, hopefully it’s nearly finished now? Urgh to the horrid weather during the match.
Thansk for linking up to Project 365.
April 10, 2015
Yep, it was well and truly driven me mad! Good progress this week this week, though, thank goodness!
April 12, 2015
Hopefully the kitchen will be sorted asap! I love the cat in the skip!! Project #365
