Inspiration: The circle of life

Recently, my mum and dad had a sort-out at home. They found some of my sister’s old school work.

I was pregnant with my eldest when my sister did her A Levels. My pregnancy inspired a whole art project, which we had all completely forgotten about.

There were beautiful sketches of my pregnant belly.

My little girl loved them, so she copied them. I think she did a pretty good job.

This preparation piece for her final work was inspired by my unborn child.

When my daughter saw the art work, she was inspired too. Inspired by the art, by my sister’s own pregnancy and her love for that unborn child, she drew this.

‘My cousin’.
