Parkrun 2023: End of year report

It’s been another busy of year for parkrun for my family. My husband and I are there every week and my eldest has done a bit of running, after years without going, although he will only do parkrun tourism! My daughter did just one run and my younger son didn’t do any this year. My sister, brother-in-law, niece and nephew, as well as my parents, have all been turning up regularly.

This year, I was at parkrun for every single event. I ran 51 out of 54 and volunteered on the other three (sometimes I volunteered and ran on the same day).

I got my first PB since 2017 and there were PBs for my sister, niece and nephew too. There were parkrun milestones for my husband, nephew and mum, plus I was the first member of the family to complete a parkrun volunteering milestone. My husband and I have done a lot more voluteering this year. Going forward, we aim to volunteer once or twice a month. We’ve done more parkrun tourism this year and hope to do more again in 2024.

Here’s our end of year report for parkrun 2023… (I don’t have full stats for everyone because some of them are only available on the actual day and I don’t track the data every single week, although I do my best to keep up!)
