The kids went back to school, in fact not just back to school – my younger son started grammar school, which we were all very excited about and all very proud of him. It’s not been the best week in terms of pictures, but it’s been a really big week for us.
Here’s our week in pictures…
Day 241 – Sunday 30th August – it was lovely nephew’s christening and my husband was godfather. All of my photos seem to have the kids in, apart from this one of Mr Men biscuits for tea! Day 242 – Monday 31st August – in preparation for going back to school, I brought back the screen time rules. So my daughter made her own entertainment and came down dressed as the Tiny Dancer from the John Lewis ad. So many people have said that she looks like the little dancer!
Day 243 – Tuesday 1st September – the football season is back and my son’s under 12s team had an evening friendly game. This stunning sky is completely unfiltered!
Day 244 – Wednesday 2nd September – the day we’ve been waiting for for nearly a year – my son started grammar school! It was an informal, non-uniform day to ease them in gently.
Day 245 – Thursday 3rd September – the big day! All three of the kids went back to school, we tested out our new school run and I remembered what it’s like to be at home on my own and working! (In case you’re wondering, those are size 10, size 7 and size 2.5.)
Day 246 – Friday 4th September – I’m struggling to get back into being at home on my own and working again, but no doubt I’ll get the hang of it again next week!
Day 247 – Saturday 5th September – along with a lot of other bloggers, I’ve been blogging to raise awareness of the refugee crisis and what we can all do to #SaveSyriasChildren
This is a bloghop. Hop on over to see what others have been up to this week.

Size 10? Wow! Let’s hope he stops growing soon 😉 Strange getting back into all the activities and school run again isn’t it? Love those Mr Men biscuits 🙂

Yep, size 10! I’m assuming he’ll grow at least another size. It is strange doing the school run, especially as it’s new for us.

Loving the Mr Men biscuits. Size 10! That will get more difficult to buy for if he gets much bigger. Just had H measured and he was a 2, I think he’ll have biggish feet as his Dad has quite big feet.
September 7, 2015
Yes, I hope he doesn’t get much bigger than an 11! That’s definitely his last pair of kids’ shoes, as Clarks do school shoes up to a 10.

Wow, big feet! Good luck with grammar school – wish we had one round these parts to give the children an option of going elsewhere! Fab biscuits and sky 🙂

Thanks very much! So many people have told me how much my daughter looks like the girl in the ad, so we couldn’t resist recreating it!
September 7, 2015
It’s amazing how many people have said that – starting with my 2 year old nephew who asked his mummy if it was her 🙂

Hope they’ve all enjoyed their first week back. First week for all three of mine this week, it’s been very strange being in the house on my own!
