Well, my American is showing…I couldn’t figure out specifically what was happening until I read the comments. The picture however is fantastic, evokes very strong emotions, and could be telling any number of stories. I really like it (even if I never would have guessed rugby!)

Perfect rugby weather! Hope the match went well.
Thanks very much! It was just training, but just had to take a picture of the mist!
Very atmospheric! Love it, hope the match went well.
Thanks very much, it really captured how misty the morning was.
Very atmospheric! Was it an early start?
No, just a very misty morning!
Looks a little chilly. #SilentSunday
It was really cold!

Thanks very much! It was one of those pictures that took me by surprise by turning out exactly as I hoped it would!
What a foggy day! I assume morning? Hope the game went well x
It was a very foggy morning! Just a training session 🙂 x
The sun looks huge in that sky and it looks so misty. Very nice pic!
Thanks very much! I liked the way the sun came out in the picture.
Such an atmospheric shot. Great weather to be stood about watching in!
It was freezing! But it did make for a nice photo 🙂
How long did it take that big ball in the top of the frame to finally burn though all that mist/fog?
It didn’t burn through at all! It was cold and misty all morning!
Must have made it difficult to play and watch but on the plus side it makes a wonderful photo!
Exactly! It was freezing cold, but it made for a nice photo 🙂
Is that a football match or that race you mentioned in country kids? Either way it’s incredibly atmospheric, slightly eerie.
#mysundayphoto
It’s rugby training! A very misty morning!
Early or Late? Football or Rugby game? Great pictures
Morning, although not particularly early! It was rugby training. Thanks very much.
i love the fog in the morning.. what an early start! :>
Thank you! It wasn’t as early as it looks – just a very cold and misty morning!
My 11yo has truly discovered rugby, I am not looking forward to mornings like this! Xx
That’s great news about your 11yo! It’s so cold on days like this, but still worth it to see the boys getting exercise and having fun 🙂 x
Beautiful shot. How did you get the sun to look this big?
Thanks very much. I didn’t do anything at all to the photo, that’s just how it turned out! I must say I was rather pleased with it!
I hope they had their fog lights on. I don’t miss the early morning football games
Thank you for linking up
Luckily it was only training, so they didn’t have to worry too much about seeing the ball!
Hope they had a great match.
Love this, it’s so atmospheric and the sun looks enormous!
Thanks very much!
That’s so atmospheric & perfect for a game of rugby. And it also shows the dedication mummy has to her son’s sport!
Hope you had a hot flask!! xx
Thanks very much! We definitely have to be dedicated to our boys’ sport, but I wouldn’t have it any other way! x
That is a stunning shot. I have to say that it does bring Zombies to mind! But I think I watch too much Walking Dead 😉
I think maybe you do! 😉
It was just training, but had to take a picture with the mist!
wow very spooky! i like it. the way the sun pokes thru is amazing.
Thanks very much. It was one of those lucky photos!
Great capture, it looks like a football game #mysundayphoto
What discipline that I think only sports can instill into kids. =) #mysundayphoto
Surely you can’t play in those conditions… you wouldn’t be able to see the ball ;D
Great atmospheric shot!
Ha ha, they have no choice but to play! Flooded pitches or frozen pitches will mean rugby is cancelled, but nothing else!
Now that’s why I’m so happy my son plays basketball 🙂
That sounds like a very good game for winter! 😉
Thanks very much. It was definitely quite eerie looking!
Was this very early in the morning? It’s like this taking Ethan to nursery sometimes x
It was certainly after 10 as that’s when rugby starts – probably about 10.30!
