Project 365: Week 29

How on earth did we make it to day 200 (and the end of the school year!)? The year is going so fast! The other day, my daughter told me the year was going fast for her. I think that’s a sign she’s growing up, because when you’re little a year seems to last forever.

So here’s what we’ve been up this week…

Day 194 – Sunday 13th July – a quiet day as my husband was working all weekend. We went to the local park briefly and discovered a lovely area of wildflowers.

Day 195 – Monday 14th June – my work today involved history and primary school topic work! My job is so varied. These were very useful research materials.

Day 196 – Tuesday 15th July – school sports day! I love this photo of my son flying through the air.

Day 197 – Wednesday 16th July – as an end of term treat, my daughter’s class were allowed to wear pyjamas for school. I did warn her that a fluffy panda onesie wasn’t the best thing for when it was 27 degrees, but would she listen?!

Day 198 – Thursday 17th July – the hottest day of the year, and a busy one too, with lots of work and yet another trip to A&E – this time with my eldest and a very swollen finger. But I found time to chill out in the shade while my daughter was at tap dance.

Day 199 – Friday 18th July – the last day of term for the younger two and I realised this was the only photo I’d taken all day. There’s a definite weather theme this week – look at that temperature! Taken on a very slow journey across town taking my daughter and her friend home from a party.

Day 200 – Saturday 19th July – my daughter went on her very first sleepover with her best friend. In torrential rain, hence the coat.

  1. Oooh the panda onesie looks HOT!!! Phew! The wildflowers are beautiful and I’m very confused about what your job is! 🙂

    • The onesie was craziness! I have one myself and it’s a proper freezing cold winter day thing! My job is I write stuff – whatever people ask me to write – articles and web copy usually, but if they want me to summarise some curriculum stuff I will do 🙂

  2. Glad to see you got to find some ‘time out’ in such a busy week – nothing better than a bit of book-reading for escapism. Can’t believe she sweltered in that panda onesie, sounds like just the sort of thing my daughter would insist upon. She went to bed in her pyjamas and a fleecy dressing gown the other night ‘because it’s cosy’!

    • My daughter is just the same. Went to her sleepover with both a fluffy onesie and normal pyjamas as they thought it would be nice to have both! Younger son sleeps in a big thick onesie under his duvet in this weather too.

    • Thanks very much, Jaime. I am obsessed with my Crocs flip flops! This is my second pair of purple ones – I got my first ones in 2010 quite by accident and have been in love with them ever since!

  7. Yikes! If your daughter thinks this year is going fast then it really must be! A onesie on such a hot day; I was hot in my white cropped trousers and vest top, she must have been melting. I absolutely love the colour of your flip-flops too. x
