Project 365: Week 19

It’s the week I finally got some paid work in and I must admit it’s been a struggle to remember to take photos. During school hours I’ve just been sat at my dining table working. But I’m not complaining! I feel happier and more relaxed than I’ve felt in a very long time.

Day 124 – Sunday 4th May – we indulged in the traditional Bank Holiday activities of gardening and spring cleaning. This little squirrel ornament sits on the wall in our garden. I’m not sure if he belongs to us or a neighbour, but he always makes me smile.

Day 125 – Monday 5th May – more gardening and my daughter planted some marigolds in the front garden.

Day 126 – Tuesday 6th May – the day the paid work started to come in! This is a glimpse of one of my messy notebooks. I like to think of it as organised chaos – I understand it even if nobody else does.

Day 127 – Wednesday 7th May – my younger son loves football and I always feel like the best mum in the world when I buy him hisΒ Match of the DayΒ magazine every week.

Day 128 – Thursday 8th May -I wanted some green Converse last year, but couldn’t find any. I got some today, but my daughter had already beaten me to it!

Day 129 – Friday 9th May – more shoes! This is becoming a common sight in the daytime. I go in and out of the house, wearing a different pair of shoes every time and dumping everything on the floor. I clear it all up before anyone else gets home though!

Day 130 – Saturday 10th May – my daughter had her first elite dance rehearsal. As we’re now a one-car family, we’re driving less. My son and I walked to pick her up and he took the opportunity to destroy some dandelions.

    • Thanks very much! I’ve had pink Converse for about the last 10 years and my daughter had a pair of pink last year too. Fancied a change this year though.

    • It was hard to track down the green Converse, but I kept trying! I’d concluded they don’t do them in adult sizes, but then I got lucky. I’m a freelance press officer and writer and will work for anyone doing whatever they give me! That was quite an intelligent job!

    • Thanks very much, it has been good. I caught the last couple of minutes of my daughter’s dance class and it was incredible what she’d learned in just two hours – and how she was keeping up with teenagers and adults.

  13. Why is it that girls pick flowers but boys feel the need to kick them?! We did a lot of gardening over the bank holiday weekend too….then ended up buying garden furniture cos we realised ours were lacking! So pleased you’ve got work coming in and feel relaxed. A great week all round πŸ™‚
