My daughter and I were very excited when we were asked if she would like to try something from the selection at Elfin childrenswear They stock a range of designer children’s clothes from birth to 8 – and they are just the sort of clothes my daughter loves! (And I do too.) For a girl of her age, the clothes are a mix of traditional and quirky. There was really nothing she didn’t like! It was a tough choice, but in the end she opted for a dusky pink tutu.
And what a tutu! It really is beautiful, with layer upon layer of material and tied with a beautiful silk ribbon. The size is age 4-7, so I was slightly worried it might not fit her, but it was absolutely fine.
She wore it with a dusky pink Tshirt with a butterfly design a friend had bought her from Next for her birthday. They went very well together.
She tried it with a range of shoes – starting with Next sandals, which looked very smart and perfect for summer. Then she moved onto her Converse for more of an edgy look – with her ballet socks, which are just the right colour. In the end she settled on her trusty pink Clarks brogues to see her through the day – again with the pink ballet socks.
Although this is clearly designed more for parties and special occasions, my daughter wanted to wear it straight away. She even ended up climbing and jumping in it (no wonder she opted for the brogues!). It stayed looking beautiful throughout and she didn’t do any damage to it!

That would make a brilliant underskirt for a circular skirt too should she want to try it a different way

To be honest, Emily and Sara, my daughter wasn’t as taken with the tutu and Converse combo as I was! She didn’t get it 🙁
