What she wore – Next playsuit

I bought my daughter this playsuit (is it still a playsuit if it’s got long legs?) in the Next summer sale last year to grow into for this year. And she loves it! She doesn’t normally wear trousers, but it doesn’t feel like trousers to her – it’s more girly, more colourful and less restrictive than jeans or other trousers. It’s also designed for REALLY HOT days. But such minor details don’t put off my daughter, the fashionista.

She wore it on our warmest day in Barcelona on a visit to Parc Guell and she looked beautiful. It was the only proper summer outfit she managed to wear without a cardigan. Here’s she’s wearing it with a pink hat from Sainsburys. She wore it with Crocs for comfort and practicality, but it would look nicer with sandals or her Converse.

On cooler days (and aren’t they all cooler days?!), she wears it with a long sleeved pink Tshirt underneath, also from Next, or her white M&S cardigan.

  1. Model in the making! Your daughter looks fab.

I love the suit and I’m jealous! Jealous that I couldn’t have worn something like this when I was a kid. I wore big purple flares! *sighs*

  2. Thanks very much, ladies! I don’t see why not, Tas! Although I know I would be frozen in it!
I’m in the purple flare camp with you, Tracy! 🙁

  3. Thanks very much, ladies 🙂 I hadn’t thought of it being Bananaram/ 80s, but I see your point!
