This time last year, I was pretty new to the blogging scene. Admittedly I’d already been blogging almost a year, but I had only recently discovered just how many bloggers were out there. And what lovely people they are. And how supportive. And entertaining. I’d just started making friends that I hadn’t actually met. I hadn’t believed that was possible before.
When Britmums Live happened last year, I SO wanted to go. But I was a bit too new. I think I would have been out of my depth.
But when those 2013 tickets went on sale, only weeks after the 2012 event, I snapped one up immediately. I wasn’t going to miss out again! This time I’m really ready for it. I ‘know’ far more people now, my blog has grown and I feel like I can hold my head up in public and confidently say ‘I am a blogger’.
I am so excited about it! I’m looking forward to all the sessions, but mainly I just want to meet the people – people I have been communicating with regularly for over a year now. People I consider to be friends.
So who am I?
Well this is me…
Name: Sarah
Twitter ID: @sarahMo3W
Height: 5ft 6
Hair: Long, brown with a golden tinge. Hopefully no grey – I’ll get my roots done beforehand!
Eyes: Blue with big black glasses
Is this your first blogging conference? No, I went to Tots100 BlogSummit in Bristol earlier this year, but this will be so much bigger!
Are you attending both days? Yes!
What are you most looking forward to at BritMums Live 2013? Meeting people! So many people I want to meet, but a special mention must go to Suzanne of
3childrenandit and Sonya from
Rocknrollmum They are the two people I am really dying to meet!
What are you wearing? This!
I wear 100% Superdry 100% of the time, but somehow I felt I had to make more of an effort and do something a bit different for BritMums Live. So a vest top with a crocodile on it was the obvious choice. I’ll be wearing it with black Superdry jeans and maybe a shirt or hoodie (depending on the weather).
What do you hope to gain from Britmums Live 2013? Some lovely friends and fantastic memories. I’d also like tips on the more technical side of blogging and on more effective ways to reach readers. But I’m a technophobe, so anything useful will most likely go in one ear and out of the other.
Tell us one thing about you that not everyone knows: I used to work in McDonalds, despite being a vegetarian.

What a lovely post – great to put a face to a name! Look forward to meeting you. My arm is out of plaster but I’m sporting a sexy splint so I’ll be easy to spot 🙂

And I’m so excited to be FINALLY meeting you too – you feel like one of my buddies and I’ve never even met you IRL! So pleased you’ve got a distinctive outfit on, I have no idea – keep purchasing footwear (which doesn’t fit!) and got nothing else sorted yet!

Hi there I’m Emma from the GraceFaith blog LIFE AS IT IS. I am that person you begin by writing about… very new to blogsphere, no idea about Britmums until it was too late, wld have been out of my depth etc. Didn’t stop me from begging tweetville for a ticket mind you. May still sell my body as a last minute ditch attempt to get one? (Maybe not, these boobs need help)! Instead I’ll look forward to being with you all next year when I’ll be wearing a tee with a ‘virgin’ symbol on the back and a ‘Billy no mates’ motif on the front… crossed out. Oh and a massive smile. Hope all you bloggers have a great time and see you in 2014. x

Looking forward to meeting you all!
I think that’s my thoughtful, solitary face, Emma – I smile more when I’m with people!
Glad to hear everyone else is sorting their outfits too.
Superdry is jeans and Tshirts and casual, urban stuff, Liska. Can’t believe you haven’t heard of it! It’s not very feminine, but it’s VERY popular!
Maybe next year, Natalie?! See you in 2014, Emma O!
