Parkrun 2021: End of year report

It has been another short parkrun year. Here’s my family’s annual report of achievements. I think it’s an achievement in itself that my family often includes the youngest person (my nephew) and the oldest person (my dad) at our home parkrun. It was announced in March that parkrun would return on 5th June. Then it was announced on 21st May that it was delayed again, as not enough landowners had given permission for it...

Return to parkrun (and Lanhydrock parkrun)

On 24th July, my dream (and the dream of many other people) finally came true – parkrun came back. There had been no parkruns in England since 14th March 2020. Parkrun first lady again

The other day I, unexpectedly, became the first woman across the line at parkrun. Eden Project parkrun

On our recent short break to Padstow, my husband, son, daughter and I ran Eden Project parkrun. I know it’s hard to believe, but in 2015, 2016 and 2017, we just skipped parkrun when we were on holiday. We would have done a Padstow parkrun, but there isn’t one. Last year, we started to run parkrun on holiday. This year, we’d planned to do Lanhydrock parkrun, near Bodmin (there aren’t many parkruns in Cornwall)....

Parkrun 2018: End of year report

2018 was another busy parkrun year for my family, with my husband, dad and I running more times than ever. But we’re not the only ones, parkrun is something my whole family does. We’ve also got out and about and tried a few different parkruns. So I thought I’d compile an end of year report for all of us. And the main conclusion is – we all need to volunteer a bit more! Me Number of runs: 44 Number of different...
