Menswear wardrobe overhaul

Regular readers will know that my eldest son, who is 15, never seems to stop growing. All of a sudden, he is about 6′ tall. He towers above me (there’s something very strange about walking with your child when he is so much bigger than you) and is taller than most men. And he’s still growing.

And when boys keep growing? They keep needing new clothes!

He’s been wearing Tshirts and hoodies from men’s ranges for a while now, but until recently I was able to buy him boys’ trousers. But now I’ve had to accept he needs men’s clothing across the board!

But where to buy from?

I’ve recently discovered menswear site, Jacamo, and it has everything a man could need – whether he’s 15, 35 or 65. There’s branded and own brand Tshirts, shirts, shoes and jackets, as well as gifts, whether the man in your life is into music, sport, sci-fi or fashion. Gift guides on the site make it easy to shop for a particular theme, covering both clothes and accessories.

Or you can simply browse the site by category or price to find exactly what you’re looking for.

Brands include Adidas, French Connection, Nike, Under Armour, Lambretta and Timberland, so we will never be stuck for ideas, whether the men in the house want to look smart or casual.

I know my husband would like some of the tweed jackets and the huge choice of jeans, while my son would like the good value range of chinos, in a variety of colours, as well as the large range of Tshirts. But sometimes it’s just nice to chill out in some jogging bottoms – whether relaxing at home or keeping warm on the sidelines at football, they’re pretty much a wardrobe essential.

I will definitely be visiting Jacamo again when my son needs more new clothes. And the good news is, if my son keeps on growing, some of the items come in ‘tall’ sizes!

  1. This looks like a nice site. Love that it caters for both your husband and your son, sometimes I find that shops that teens love are very different from shops that adults love so it’s great that this one does both.

    • I’m really impressed with it as there’s a very good range. I will definitely be checking it out again for both of them. x
