Project 366 Week 39

Three-quarters of the way through the year already. How did that happen? It’s been a typically busy week in our house. Life never seems to slow down at all.

Here’s our week in pictures…

Day 269 – Sunday 25th September – the day I’ve been waiting for – Cheltenham half marathon! It was tough going, but I was very pleased to finish in 1 hour 55 minutes and 24 seconds.

Day 270 – Monday 26th September – suffering from the world’s stiffest legs! Every time I move it is agony. But I’m proud of my medal from yesterday.

Day 271 – Tuesday 27th September – a busy day of work with no time for anything else. I snapped our hydrangeas slowly decaying in the garden. It’s amazing how they still look beautiful.

Day 272 – Wednesday 28th September – a busy evening for my daughter and me. Went to the theatre to finalise her paperwork for her performance licence for the panto – they needed to see her birth certificate. Then it was an extra ballet class for her grade 3 exam in a few weeks, followed by an open evening at a local comprehensive.

Day 273 – Thursday 29th September – went to see my younger son’s school concert in the evening, it was very good! Took the best photo of Eric and Wilfred I’ve taken so far.

Day 274 – Friday 30th September – very busy day of work. I didn’t get my lunch until 1.15 (believe me, that’s serious!). I didn’t run very often in September – was a bit scuppered by injury in the week before the half marathon and have ached too much in the few days after. But I covered some serious distances.

Day 275 – Saturday 1st October – ran my first Parkrun in a month and my first one on my own for at least two months. It was so nice to do a quick run and not feel drained afterwards. Winning my category and coming 96th out of 368 runners was pretty good too.

    • Thanks very much! We always are busy, but I’m hoping this next week might be a bit quieter. It took my legs a few days to recover, but they’re all back to normal now. x

  2. I didn’t realise you needed such a thing as a panto licence. Sounds exciting for her though, like it’s almost time to start. Hope your legs are ok now and you’re all recovered! Wilfred and Eric look so cute together.

    • Thanks very much. The legs are all good now! Kids have to have a performance licence so they can miss school. It’s exactly the same as kids in TV or film would have.

  3. well done on the half marathon and all the other training you’ve been doing. I didn’t realise you had a new guinea pig, i’d seen the photo on instgram and possibly liked it, but only just it’s a new addition to your family.

  6. Congratulations on doing the Cheltenham run, nice medal too. Busy times with panto, ballet and school stuff. Hearing you running around after your 3 makes me wonder how my mum did it with my brother and I both doing sports, me doing music and dance as well. Mums are great aren’t they!
