Project 366 Week 15

The kids went back to school and I must admit I was quite relieved. I’ve found balancing the needs of the kids quite a struggle in the school holidays recently. I was pleased to have a lot of work this week and the week flew by.

Here’s our week in pictures…

Day 101 – Sunday 10th April – the day started with a stripy sky. I went to watch my younger son play football, picked my eldest up from his DofE camp and my daughter managed to con/ persuade my parents to take her to watch Hetty Feather for the third time in four days.

Day 102 – Monday 11th April – the kids went back to school, I got to do some work in peace and this is what the school run looked like!

Day 103 – Tuesday 12th April – a record-breaking day for me – I worked for six clients in one day. And I reached 5,000 followers on Twitter, after four years and four months of talking crap on there.

Day 104 – Wednesday 13th April – the news that Stoke Gifford Parish Council near Bristol has voted to charge for Parkrun has made me rather angry. I went on BBC Radio Gloucestershire to talk about it. This is my serious face on the phone to them. You can listen to me talking here at 1 hour 38 seconds http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p03nxl08

Day 105 – Thursday 14th April – another busy day of work with some seriously torrential rain in the evening. I took this photo of a rainbow through the front door because I didn’t want to get soaked!

Day 106 – Friday 15th April – the work had eased off a bit, which I quite like for a Friday. The rain eased off too, eventually, but the raindrops are still visible on the tulips.

Tulips, Garden, 365, 366

Day 107 – Saturday 16th April – it’s all about the weather this week! Yes, that is snow. It hasn’t snowed at all this winter and we get it on 16th April. It came down for over an hour.

    • Thanks very much. Very stupid council indeed! My husband heard Paula Radcliffe talk on the radio the following day and he said she made all the same points as me. I was quite proud of that!

  10. gorgeous rainbow, I listened to the discussion on the radio, i can understand why the parks want to charge for the extra damage and repairs as these park runs get more and more popular, but maybe they could raise funds for park run through sponsorships from local companies if it is attacking that many people

  11. Sooooo weird it snowed but we get so much of it now I think I may resign myself to “snow in April” being normal. Hurraj for 5k! I’ve only just hit it after my follower numbers drastically yoyo’d for a few weeks. I’m sure people were teasing me! That tulip photo is gorgeous!
