Project 366 Week 10

This week I’ve been feeling pretty much broken by the ever-increasing demands of my kids, a lack of sleep, having much more work and a husband who seems to work late every night. So my photos are pretty uninspiring!

Here’s our week in pictures…

Day 66 – Sunday 6th March – Mother’s Day was as good as could be expected in a day where I had to do a two-hour round trip to pick up eldest from Explorers camp and watched my younger son play in an uninspiring 2-2 draw. The highlight of my day was definitely my daughter getting up at 7 to give me my card and this present she had chosen and paid for herself.

Day 67 – Monday 7th March – we woke up yesterday and our heating had stopped working, which is not what you need when it’s still so cold. It was the digital thermostat which had broken and needed replacing. This is where it was removed from the wall.

Day 68 – Tuesday 8th March – we’ve never used the gas fire before, but it’s been a godsend while the heating was broken. The new part arrived today and my husband managed to mend it, thank goodness!

Day 69 – Wednesday 9th March – after a very wet night and a very wet morning, the local park had developed a lake again.

Day 70 – Thursday 10th March – my eldest has got his year 10 exams this week. We were all quite disappointed with his school report and his GCSE predictions, so this exam result was a very welcome sight!

Day 71 – Friday 11th March – today I managed to get all my work done, clean the bathrooms, change the beds and do a bit of shopping for my daughter’s birthday. I was very impressed with myself. Needless to say, I’d woken up before 5 worrying about how I was going to fit it all in! It was a mild, misty, spring-like kind of day, which made a nice change.

Day 72 – Saturday 12th March – a very busy day, which started with Parkrun (SMASHED my PB!) followed by watching my son play rugby (they won and he scored two tries), then there was the school fair, the Scout jumble sale, a party for my son and my daughter’s birthday party!
