Project 365 2015 Week 49

I did one of these last year. When the days are short, dark, damp and muddy, Christmas stuff hasn’t started (well it hasn’t in our house, at any rate!) and there’s not much to take photos of, I thought I’d do something different for a change. So I decided to make it a shoe special!

So here’s our week inย picturesย shoes…

Day 333 – Sunday 29th November – I went for a walk before everyone got up, as I often do on a Sunday, in my trusty Cath Kidston/ Gola trainers.

Day 334 – Monday 30th November – back to ballet! After three weeks off for panto rehearsals, my daughter went back to her ballet class today, where she is starting to prepare for her Grade 2 exam next spring.

Day 335 – Tuesday 1st December – the jazz shoes were out for my daughter’s second pantomime performance (you can read about the first performance here). That’s two down, 25 to go!

Jazz shoes, Dance, Panto, Daughter, 365

Day 336 – Wednesday 2nd December – my running shoes! When I was injured in the summer and early autumn I wasn’t running as much as I’d like, but now I’m back to running four times a week.

Day 337 – Thursday 3rd December – my eldest’s (very big) school shoes. After a very rare/ unheard of day off sick with a bad headache yesterday, he was back at school.

School shoes, Son, Eldest, 365

Day 338 – Friday 4th December – my younger son played his second game for the school’s rugby A team. From now on, as long as he gets picked, he will be playing for the school every week until Easter.

Rugby boots, School sport, Rugby, Son, 365

Day 339 – Saturday 5th December – just me and my eldest for Parkrun this week. He wanted me to run with him to try to beat his PB, but we didn’t quite manage it!

  1. Love the idea of a week of shoes! Ours would consist of lots of school shoes, wellies for forest ed and very muddy football boots after todays game!

    • Thanks very much! It’s hard taking photos at this time of year, but I thought they were a good way of representing the many things we do in a week.

  4. Aw I miss ballet shoes in my house, my girl gave that up a few years ago ๐Ÿ™ Love that you run four times a week – my plan says four times but once I’m at work Weds to Fri running stops!

    • My girl started ballet relatively late (at 6!), but has always loved it. I don’t think she will give up until well into her teens. I’ve been really back on track with my running this week and I love it. I could never run on work days when I used to go to an office to work either.

  5. Love the different take this week on 365. I think I remember you doing this last year too. And we’ll done on doing Parkrun in this awful awful weather. I thought our house was going to fly off last night!

    • Thanks very much ๐Ÿ™‚ I don’t think the weather was as bad here as it was up north. The wind was very strong for Parkrun, but at least there was no rain!

  6. Love this idea! My photos have been getting a lot more random as the weather has got colder ๐Ÿ™‚ Maybe I need a theme! You must be pleased to be back to running regularly again x

  7. i remember your week of shoe photos from last year! i have struggled the last few weeks to find a photo each day. with both boys at school, and it getting dark so early it is much harder now. Such busy shoes ! what with running, rugby and dance i should think you all have tired feet! x

  8. So many different shoes with so many different purposes. You must have so many pairs in your house.

    • We do have rather a lot! Especially as the kids keep growing all the time!

  9. what a fab theme, your sons shoes remind me of my boys footwear and i bet they’re not that old either

    • Thanks very much. You’re right – my eldest trashes his shoes in the space of about three months, but he keeps growing all the time anyway!

    • They most certainly are! They don’t seem to get any better as they get older either.

  10. what a brilliant round up, great pics, love the theme and still tells us about your week. No Christmas hadnt made an appearance here yet either.
Shame about the PB, still something to aim at another week.
School shoes look like they need a polish ( curiosity – do kids still polish shoes or is that another generational thing that does not happen any more?)
