Project 365 2015 Week 43

Half-term is here at last and I’m pleased to say it’s been a slightly more interesting and eventful week. Here’s our week in pictures…

Day 288 – Sunday 18th October – it’s getting very dark on my early morning walks now. This fuzzy image is unfiltered and shows it was only just getting light! Autumn, Morning, Walk, 365 Day 289 – Monday 19th October – a very proud moment – my eldest was awarded his Chief Scout’s Gold Award at Scouts (more on that in Loud ‘n’ Proud next week!). Chief Scouts Gold Award, Scouts, Son, 365 Day 290 – Tuesday 20th October – happy birthday to my lovely younger son – 12 today! Sadly we didn’t see as much of him as we would have liked, as he had an after school rehearsal. Birthday, Son, 12th birthday, Pumba, 365 Day 291 – Wednesday 21st October – as my son had such a long day at school on his birthday, we invited my family around for a birthday tea today instead. Birthday cake, Birthday, son, 365 Day 292 – Thursday 22nd October – the first day of half-term for the younger two kids. It was a pretty uninteresting one, in fact my daughter described it as ‘the most boring day on earth’. I don’t think it was quite that bad! Regular readers will know I’m not a fan of Christmas in October or November, but I am a fan of guinea pigs. I couldn’t resist this book in Sainsburys! Guinea pigs, Book, 365, Christmas Day 293 – Friday 23rd October – got one! Last year I left it so late to get a pumpkin for Halloween that I totally failed to get one at all. What a bad mummy! Pumpkin, Halloween, 365 Day 294 – Saturday 24th October – after the highlight of getting the whole family running last week, with my daughter feeling under the weather, my eldest having a bad knee and my younger son having football training in the morning, it was just Mummy and Daddy for the Parkrun this morning. I beat Daddy by a minute and 40 seconds, my PB by two seconds, was the ninth woman home and, best of all, WON MY AGE CATEGORY! That has been my dream since I started Parkrun. That is one very happy, very tired selfie! Parkrun, Selfie, 365 Project 365 is a bloghop. Hop on over to see what others have been up to this week. TheBoyandMe's 365 Linky

  6. Well done on achieving your PB AND for beating the hubby. Sounds as if you have had a busy week, apart from the ‘most boring day on earth’ . And Sarah well done on purchasing a Christmas book…… in October. Though I know it was through your love of guinea pigs lol xx

    • I don’t think the ‘most boring day on earth’ was quite as bad as that! I definitely wouldn’t have bought anything Christmas related if it hadn’t also been guinea pig related! x

  7. Seems like a week of achievements: well done on your park run and to your son for his Chief Scout’s Gold Award. The most boring day on earth doesn’t sound as good, but sometimes I think being bored does us good.
