What she wore: Off-duty dancer

What does a little dancer wear when she’s off-duty? A black Tshirt with the word ‘dance’ on it, of course!

I bought this Tshirt for my daughter from Next back in the summer and, last time I checked, they still had it in stock. It’s not the usual sort of thing either of us would choose – we’ve never bought anything in black and silver before. It doesn’t seem a really suitable colour for a little girl, in my opinion (yes, she might be 8, but she’s still my little girl!). But it had the word ‘dance’ on it, so how could I resist? Needless to say, my daughter loves it and wears it a lot.

A dancer needs a cardigan she can just throw on, and my daughter is still loving her grey Bench zip-up cardigan, which we were kindly sent to review by House of Fraser back in the summer. The cardigan is made of a soft knitted cotton, so is very comfortable. It’s also perfect to throw on after dance as it has a hood and zip.

She’s wearing the Tshirt and cardigan here with her dark blue Sainsburys denim shorts (part of a set with some stripy tights and a bargain at one of their 25% off events). She’s also wearing it with Next navy leggings, which were part of a set with a green striped tunic dress from. The outfit is finished off with her classic green Converse. With winter just around the corner, I expect to see these switched for her new Clarks biker boots very soon! (Although it’s not uncommon for her to throw her Crocs on, even at this time of year!)

  1. I love the top, but the shorts are cool. And her hair’s grown so long. From someone who’s never had hair longer than shoulder length I’m very jealous.
