Project 365: Week 43

Week 43? That really sounds like it’s nearly the end of the year! This week I’ve had more work than ever and taking photos hasn’t been easy, thank goodness we at least had a birthday in the house!

Here’s our week in pictures…

Day 292 – Sunday 19th October – the day before my younger son’s 11th birthday. We usually invite my family round on the kids’ birthdays, but as Mondays are always busy days, it seemed sensible to invite them round today instead.

Day 293 – Monday 20th October – happy 11th birthday to my lovely boy! Pumba was out as ever with the birthday cards.

Day 294 – Tuesday 21st October – I went for a quick walk before picking the kids up from school – I think you should just be able to see how windy it was in this photo.

Day 295 – Wednesday 22nd October – we got the guinea pigs out on the garden without the run. They stayed still for ages, then suddenly they made a break for it and hid in the plants!

Day 296 – Thursday 23rd October – this is something I didn’t expect to do for work today – searching for PR photographers in Glasgow!

Day 297 – Friday 24th October – my younger son had a friend round for tea and they were absolutely insistent on having McDonalds – even though it meant a mile walk each way in questionable weather. Although not exactly a scenic walk, it was actually really nice to get out and walk at that time of day.

Day 298 – Saturday 25th October – a successful morning at football for my younger son. The parents have to stand behind one of these now! (It was a pretty boring picture and it looks better in black and white!)

  1. I actually really like that final picture. Something a bit different, and the black and white works well. Hope the 11th birthday went well.

    • Thanks very much! I quite liked it too – I took a few photos yesterday, but it was my favourite even though it was a bit strange! The birthday went well, thanks, although I do think birthdays on a Monday shouldn’t be allowed!

  2. Another week another football pitch! Well done for saying “yes” to the McDonalds, I’m usually the mean mum who spoils all their fun!

    • Oh yes, you can always rely on a football pitch on a Saturday! I wasn’t keen to say ‘yes’ to the McDonalds – mainly because I thought it was going to rain heavily, but the weather held off and it was actually quite pleasant!

    • Thanks very much. What a coincidence their birthday was the same day – Harry is the FIFTH blog son I know of with a birthday that day!

  4. Were the supporters getting onto the pitch? Love the idea of keeping the parents under control. Glad he had a nice birthday.

    • It’s just the new rules at under 11s. I’m not sure if parents were getting on the pitch or not – we never saw anything too bad at our matches.

  7. Love the last photo, really interesting shot. Good to see Pumba out, hope your son had a brilliant day. Sometimes you just need to say yes to things like requests for McDonalds, the chance of a walk made it an even better outing for them 🙂

  12. I think that the tape for the parents at the football match is a good idea, I’ve seen how bad they can get at sports day! Lovely birthday plates, so much nicer than boring designs.

Thanks for linking up to Project 365.

  13. A mile walk would definitely be needed after a maccy ds! Is the tape to hold you all back?!
