  1. Chooo choooo! I assume you were a pedestrian attempting to cross this line?? Quite a dramatic picture with the train coming along the tracks

    • I certainly was a pedestrian! We have two level crossings close to home, so I spend a lot of time waiting for trains.

  2. We used to live near these crossings and much as the kids loved seeing the trains, they used to drive me insane as the gates go down sooooo early

    • Oh yes! Local journeys can take a really long time for us sometimes because of the level crossings. The record is waiting for five trains.

  3. I’m always slightly paranoid crossing these crossings even when the gate is open!

    • We’re so used to them because we cross them pretty much every day. I remember my sister used to be terrified and so did one of my kids (I can’t remember which one now!).

    • Yes, the novelty does wear off when you’re in a hurry. I like to see them at other times though.

  5. Hi Sarah, nicely taken and very well timed. The train looks like it could be static! #mysundayphoto

  6. My girls love seeing trains pass….Those crossings do make me nervous though x

    • We’re so used to them that they don’t make me nervous. I end up waiting for them most days!

  7. Oh I hate having to wait to cross, especially if I’m in a rush!

    • Too right! I spend a lot of time trying to avoid it.

    • Thank you! When you have to cross them as often as I do (sometimes several times a day), you don’t worry about them.
