Project 365 2017 Week 38

It’s been a busy week of work and I turned another year older.

Here’s our week in pictures…

Day 260 – Sunday 17th September – here we go again! My daughter auditioned for panto. It was a lot busier than we expected and I was a little bit nervous, but she’s in! Then my first job was to measure her. I hope I got it right.

Day 261 – Monday 18th September – today felt like the longest day since my kids went back to school. My car is out of action, so my husband did the school run, and I had less work than I expected. I’ve started to go for a quick walk most afternoons, as I miss the afternoon walk to pick my daughter up from school. I spotted this overgrown sign.

Day 262 – Tuesday 19th September – autumn has come far too quickly this year. It was incredibly misty and cold first thing, although it was much warmer later on.

Day 253 – Wednesday 20th September – all the cold, damp weather lately means our garden is full of mushrooms. And the grass really needs cutting!

Day 254 – Thursday 21st September – my daughter went to a birthday party after school, which I thought would mean less rushing about, but it actually meant more! It doesn’t help that my own car is out of action, so we’re sharing my husband’s car. At least the sunset was pretty.

Day 255 – Friday 22nd September – happy birthday to me! Today I turned 44. I went a little trip to Bath with my husband, then out for a meal at Wagamama with the family. I also got lots of Cath Kidston guinea pig things as presents.

Day 256 – Saturday 23rd September – not too shabby position at Parkrun today, although my rival beat me.

    • Thanks very much! It turns out someone beat both me and my rival by over two minutes! My daughter is in the chorus, which means she gets lots of little parts to play and lots of dancing.

  3. So glad she got into the panto again. Next year I’ll have to build some walking into my days when H goes to secondary.

    • Thanks, we’re really pleased she’s in panto again. It’s so important to build some walking into your day. I always start my day with a walk or run, I just don’t have to take anyone to school any more!

  4. Happy belated birthday and can’t believe panto is on the cards again – it’s only September! I’m missing the walking to school and back – now that the girl is in big school I’m in the car more and feeling lethargic!

    • The panto auditions are in September every year, but rehearsals don’t actually start until mid-November. I always used to walk my daughter to school, even though I was driving my son too. Now I have to build in an extra walk or two to make up for it!

well done to daughter for getting into the panto again, you must be dedicated because you do a lot of running/sitting about but look forward to seeing what books you get through.

    • You’ve got a good memory remembering that I always photograph my books when I’m waiting at panto! When I looked closely at the results I realised someone had beaten both my rival and me by over two minutes! That’s amazing.

  10. Yay congratulations on your daughter getting the part. It made me laugh as I always thought the Cath Kidston print was hamsters and not guinea pigs lol x
