Project 366 Week 11

It’s been a pretty good week, with lots of work and one of my favourite days of the year – my daughter’s birthday. Although birthdays on Mondays are never quite as good as weekend birthdays!

Here’s our week in pictures…

Day 73 – Sunday 13th March – a momentous day! It was warm enough and sunny enough for the guinea pigs to get out in the garden for the first time since October.

Day 74 – Monday 14th March – happy birthday to my beautiful 10 year old girl! It’s a strange feeling knowing that my baby is now in double figures. She was only 5 when I started blogging and my eldest was 10!

Day 75 – Tuesday 15th March – a busy day of work, which was mainly spent in my dark, untidy spare room/ office.

Day 76 – Wednesday 16th March – another day of work in my dark room, so I thought I’d share a more cheerful photo of the daffodils. The mild winter, followed by the cold start to spring, means the daffodils have been going forever. The yellow ones have all died off now, but the white ones are in full bloom.

Day 77 – Thursday 17th March – a beautiful, sunny day, so I went for a quick walk before picking my daughter up from school.

Spring, Countryside, 365, 366

Day 78 – Friday 18th March – an exciting day for all of the kids – a house rugby competition for my younger son, a whole-school Sport Relief mile for my daughter and the last day of exams for my eldest. I’m pleased to say that some of the results have been far better than his predictions. Here’s hoping he can keep it up for the next year and a bit!

Exam, Results, Son, 365, 366

Day 79 – Saturday 19th March – I gave Parkrun a miss this week as it was my last opportunity to watch my son play rugby this season (and only my third opportunity in total). I was glad I did as they won 7-5, beating a team which has won in year 7 for the last five years. As an added bonus, my son scored a try and was one of very few players who wasn’t subbed off.

    • Thanks very much! I think my eldest has underestimated himself for all these years. We knew he was bright, but he’s never been willing to work!
