Project 365 2015 Week 27

Day 179 – Sunday 28th June – the French exchange boy went home and my family came round to celebrate my son’s 14th birthday yesterday. My mum made the cake.

Day 180 – Monday 29th June – a normal Monday at home working. It was good to spot a few flowers between the weeds in our garden.

Day 181 – Tuesday 30th June – the hottest day of the year so far – it showed 31.5 degrees in my car. Having not even worn cropped jeans so far this year, I got my shorts on! (Shorts and vest top are both Superdry, of course – the shorts are actually men’s shorts!)

Day 182 – Wednesday 1st July – the hottest day this year. In fact, one of the hottest days I’ve ever lived through. Yes, that temperature actually happened.

Day 183 – Thursday 2nd July – what a difference a day makes! From one extreme to the other… When it was 21 degrees and raining gently earlier in the day it was pleasant and a welcome relief after yesterday, but then the temperature dropped to 14.5 degrees and it felt cold! The difference in temperature between yesterday and today is like the difference between summer and winter!

Day 184 – Friday 3rd July – I went for a meeting at this place, which I’ve been writing about for months. I couldn’t believe how stunning it is!

Day 185 – Saturday 4th July – did my first Parkrun without my daughter. It was very hot, but needless to say I ran it a lot faster on my own!

    • Thanks very much! My skin is definitely getting there! It’s a hotel in the Midlands, but it looks like a French chateau!

  5. Happy Birthday Son! That cake looks amazing. We haven’t been quite as hot as you – but humid and cloud a lot of the week. We only had full sunshine all day on Tuesday. Well done with your run. Kaz x

  13. That looks like an amazing building and your skin’s looking so much better. Bet you’re really pleased how it’s improving.

Either my car temperature gauge is way out or it’s just really hot locally here. Mine showed 40C on Wed, although down to 19C on Thursday – aided by parking undercover that day. Really must remember to put my sunshade up when I park it, and thank god for air con.

  14. Love the outfit and I know what you mean by the difference in the temp between summer and winter. In the winter in SA it was in the mid 20s in the day and dropped throughout the night to zero, difficult to keep cool and warm throughout the day
