What she wore: Soft trousers for spring

My daughter went many, many years without wearing trousers. But last year she fell in love with a pair of soft, comfortable trousers from Next. They were both practical and looked good, so I wanted to get her something similar this year.

My daughter is always stylish and always looks immaculate, but comfort is very important to her. She doesn’t want anything itchy or stiff or anything that digs in – and whatever she’s wearing, she always wants to be able to run fast in it!

These trousers are also from Next and are basically identical to her favourite pair from last year, just with a different print. I’ll be honest, I wasn’t sure about the blue zigzag pattern, but I figured we could always take them back if she wasn’t keen. The alternative was a bit too pink for her, so I thought this was the best option.

Well, I’m pleased to say she likes her blue zigzag trousers just as much as she liked her trousers last summer. They tick all the boxes for her.

She bought the blue giraffe Tshirt with her birthday money from Next (where else?). It’s loose fitting and comfortable and seems to go perfectly with the trousers. She’s very fussy about Tshirts, so it was a relief when she found one she liked! She nearly always wears the trousers and Tshirt together.

She finished the outfit off with a cotton cable knit navy cardigan from the Next sale, which seems to finish off many of her outfits, and the ever-trusty Converse!

Considering I wasn’t sure about the trousers at first, I think we did a good job with this outfit!
