Project 365 2015 Week 13

Wow, a quarter of the way through the year already! How did that happen?

Here’s our week in pictures…

Day 81 – Sunday 22nd March – my son took part in a big rugby tournament, which didn’t go to plan in many ways. As a result, the only photo I took was one of my daughter eating a burger. She felt sick after eating it, so I even considered deleting that picture too!

Day 82 – Monday 23rd March – we have no sink! We also have very little work surface space and hardly any cupboards. It’s still over a week until the kitchen fitter comes daily.

Day 83 – Tuesday 24th March – I’ve become an auntie again! My sister had a beautiful baby boy.

Day 84 – Wednesday 25th March – another view of our kitchen! Work will be happening every day from next week, so hopefully we will see some really progress soon.

Day 85 – Thursday 26th March – my younger son played in a school rugby tournament and they did really well. Here he is taking a break between matches (I meant to crop it, but PicMonkey wouldn’t work because Flashplayer wouldn’t update #firstworldproblems).

Day 86 – Friday 27th March – we all went to Wembley to watch England v Lithuania. It was a fantastic experience made even better by our front row seats and the 4-0 win for England!

Day 87 – Saturday 28th March – too much rushing around and too many boring jobs! This chocolate pudding came at the end of what’s likely to be our last home cooked meal in two or three weeks (obviously the pudding was shop bought!).

  1. Oh you are so patient with your kitchen! I wouldn’t cope with the upheaval although ours is in desperate need for an upgrade! Love the wembley pic although it makes me a bit sad as the only time I was there was seeing The Killers back in 2013!

    • Thanks very much, I have no choice but to be patient with the kitchen! I bet seeing The Killers was amazing. I can highly recommend watching an England game, though!

  2. A shop bought pudding – I would expect nothing less! I hope your kitchen gets sorted soon. Can’t wait to see pics! Shame about that burger :/

    • Thanks! To me a shop-bought pudding that needs heating up is pretty much home cooking. It’s not a yogurt or a bar of chocolate, is it?
She just ate too much with the burger! She sometimes forgets she’s only got a tiny appetite!

  5. Must have been an amazing atmosphere watching the England game. Hope your nephew has been giving lots of cuddles whilst you remain sinkless for a bit 🙂

  6. I think the being without a sink stage is the worst in many ways. I got so fed up of having to go upstairs to get water. Our downstairs loo sink tap wasn’t usable for anything bigger than a glass. Glad you had a good time at Wembley – a good match to pick.

    • Thanks very much, it was a fab game to pick! I have a sink in the utility, but I still hate being without the kitchen sink!

The atmosphere at the football is always amazing, much better than being on the tv.

    • Thanks very much, the seats at Wembley were brilliant! Not sure how we managed to get front row. There will be some definite progress on the kitchen, but suspect it’s still going to be at its absolute worst at the end of the week 🙁

    • Thanks very much! Impressed that you did your kitchen yourselves, it’s bad enough doing it the way we’ve done it – with work happening on and off since January.

  12. I know it must be hellish with no kitchen but soon…soon..you’ll have a brand new one! Congratulations on becoming an auntie and fab capture of the stadium.

    • Thanks very much, you’re right – I have to focus on the finished kitchen! It will be so worth it and it so desperately needed doing.
I think I just caught the stadium as the light was perfect – it’s a really striking building close-up, I don’t think the TV does it justice at all!

  14. I hope that the kitchen fitting isn’t too traumatic or taking too long? Guess you’ll be eating Easter lunch out on Sunday?

  16. Ooh very exciting for the kitchen coming…. can’t wait to see it all finished! Your cupboards at the moment are similar to ours! Not getting our kitchen done for a little while though! Like the burger photo, shame it obviously wasn’t as tasty as it looked! 🙂
