Project 365: Week 45

With the kids back at school, the weather turning cold and miserable and me stuck inside working, it looked like this could be one seriously boring week of pictures. So I decided to change it up a bit. This week it’s a boring week of pictures ON A THEME.

So here’s our week in pictures shoes.

Day 306 – Sunday 2nd November – Sunday is rugby day and this is my footwear for the majority of the season.

Wellies, 365

Day 307 – Monday 3rd November – back to school! My daughter was very happy to finally have the new school shoes she’s wanted for ages.

Day 308 – Tuesday 4th November – guess which idiot went out in torrential rain in Converse? It’s not very clear on the picture, but these are soaking wet (and weigh about twice as much as normal) – yuk!

Day 309 – Wednesday 5th November – my daughter is having extra ballet classes at the moment in preparation for her grade 1 exam, but she missed her class because she’d injured her ankle.

Day 310 – Thursday 6th November – another day, another missed dance lesson. This time my daughter missed tap dancing, which she wasn’t happy about!

Day 311 – Friday 7th November – I haven’t been running much since the Cheltenham half marathon, as I’ve been injured. It was really good to go for a run today.

Day 312 – Saturday 8th November – Saturday is always football day for my younger son. Today wasn’t a good day – a 7-0 defeat in torrential rain and hail on a waterlogged pitch in a cup game against a team from the league above.

    • Thanks very much! It made a nice change not to be stressing over whether I’d taken any decent photos! Normal service will be resumed next week.

    • Thanks very much! My daughter has wanted those shoes for ages. I think a lot of girls of their age have them.

  1. Love it! What a great way to look at your week. Glad to hear that you managed to go for a run. Converse really don’t cope well with rain do they?!

    • Thanks very much. Hopefully I’m properly back in the game with running now. I don’t think I’d ever put my Converse to the test in quite such awful weather – it really wasn’t pleasant!

  2. Great idea to freshen it up a bit – although lots of those shoes look like they could be rather smelly! Sounds like a lot of injuries in the house at the moment, hope your daughter’s ankle gets better for the exam.

    • Thanks very much. The ankle is apparently all fine now – in fact she thought it was fine for tap dance, but I wouldn’t let her go and risk injuring it again. I hadn’t thought that about the smelly shoes, but you’re probably right!

    • I reckon I could easily do another ‘shoe week’ – I didn’t have any rugby boots or my daughter’s dance trainers this week! I used to do tap too, but I wasn’t good at it at all!

    • Thanks very much! I was boring myself with the thought of another picture of wet leaves and my daughter walking across the rugby pitch. I took a photo of my wellies for Sunday and then thought, whey don’t I keep it going?

  5. You can’t beat some shoe pics – love your wellies and I hate how the rain ruins converse 😉

  7. Loving the theme here. I haven’t done a theme 365 this year! I need to do one after feeling inspired by yours.

    • Thanks very much! I look forward to seeing it! I’m wondering if I can think of any more themes for the remainder of this year.

  8. fashion’s funny isn’t it. Imagine a few years ago telling your daughter she had to wear Clarkes brogues to school!

    • Ha ha, very true! I thought she was being quite brave and cutting edge opting for these, but it seems like half the girls in her year (year 4) have them!

  9. Ha ha, love this! Great way to share your week! Mine would feature football boots far too much! Lol! x

    • Thanks very much! Football boots are mainly once a week here, plus rugby boots on a Sunday! x

    • Thanks very much, what a lovely thing to say! That’s what I hoped, but I wasn’t sure if people would think that! 🙂

  10. Love your wellies. My ugly huge olive coloured ones were the only ones that fitted my calves. Since then I’ve put on weight and had a dvd so they don’t fit. I need to find someone to custom make wellies!

And those are a really shiny pair of tap shoes.

    • I’ve never heard of wellies not fitting, that must be so annoying! The tap shoes are lovely, aren’t they? Sadly they’re a bit small for her now and her new pair are matt rather than shiny.

  11. what a different way to have an insight into your week. Love the pink wellies, they may well have been a better choice for Tuesday. Hope your daughters ankle is better in time for this weeks lessons, look on the bright side no need to play taxi driver to her.
