Project 365: Week 44

Well we made it to November! I can’t believe how fast the year is flying by.

Here’s our week in pictures…

Day 299 – Sunday 26th October – my daughter and I travelled to an away game to see my eldest play rugby. It was a good game, but they got narrowly beaten.

Day 300 – Monday 27th October – I had 100 bulbs to plant and a lot of weeds to get up! The kids gave me varying amounts of help.

Day 301 – Tuesday 28th October – my daughter taught Daisy the guinea pig a trick!

Day 302 – Wednesday 29th October – my eldest finished pulling together his Halloween costume. I can’t say it was one I wanted him to have, but I must admit it looked pretty good!

Day 303 – Thursday 30th October – we went to visit the poppies at the Tower of London. It was incredibly busy, but it was still a stunning sight and well worth a visit.

Day 304 – 31st October – Halloween! Guess which mummy failed to get a pumpkin? I stupidly thought I could pick one up on the day, but there were none to be found! So this is my son in the Freddie Krueger make-up he did himself. I’ve made it black and white and filtered it a bit to help disguise him.

Day 305 – Saturday 1st November – the leaves show that it’s November, but the sky and the temperature are suggesting September!

  1. The poppy installation looks amazing and thought provoking too. Nice Halloween get up! We avoided trick or treating here! This weather is barmy isn’t it? Oh, I’m so tempted to have a little run soon but am panicky about the old knee 🙁

  2. I don’t know how Hubby did it but he came home on Thurs with a pumpkin. Said there were loads where he went, but I had been hearing stories of everywhere being sold out.

    • He did well! I could have got one on Wednesday, but I was on foot and they were too big to carry! I thought they would still be available on Friday, but I was wrong!

  3. I can’t believe how busy the Tower has been this last week, heard so many people saying it was rammed. It’s a wonderful installation isn’t it. They have spread so much since our last visit #365

  6. Your guinea pig looks like he’s about to do a performance!! 🙂 I love telling everyone my friends helped put those poppies in place. Took them all day and more I think they were part of a massive team.

    • What an amazing thing for your friend to do! There were still volunteers ‘planting’ them when we were there the other day.

  10. The Halloween costume looks fab. I can’t believe how sunny it’s been the last few days considering it’s November (having said that, it’s now pouring with rain out there!)

    • That is the exact reason why I won’t let him watch them! He’s desperate to watch them and won’t accept that age ratings are there for a reason.
