Project 365: Week 38

It’s been a good week, with the outside of our house being painted, news of new jobs for work (although they don’t make good photos!) and the finals of the MAD Blog Awards.

So here’s our week in pictures…

Day 257 – Sunday 14th September – I had a trip to the sand sculptures at Weston-super-Mare with my parents, sister, brother-in-law and niece. I love Alice in Wonderland, so this was my favourite!

Day 258 – Monday 15th September – this is my #scarfies4Thyca to raise awareness of thyroid cancer, which my friend Emma, aka Crazy with Twins, was treated for last year.  You need to check your neck for lumps and bumps – see the GP if you find anything. Then take a pic of yourself with a scarf on and share on social media with the hashtag #scarfies4Thyca

Day 259 – Tuesday 16th September – we’re having the outside of our house painted. This is how it’s looking so far. I think it’s fab! It was all dark brown before and starting to rot.

Day 260 – Wednesday 17th September – this is how it looks inside our house when it’s being painted!

Day 261 – Thursday 18th September – my daughter was very excited to see these new purple flowers in the garden and so was I – we will have colour in the autumn!

Day 262 – Friday 19th September – the Mad Blog Awards! I was a finalist in the schooldays category. As expected, I didn’t win, but I was very happy to be there! There were 200,000 votes and nominations for 6,500 blogs, so to make it to the finals is pretty amazing. Thank you very much to everyone who nominated and voted for me, it is much appreciated. Here I am with the lovely Fiona from Coombe Mill. It was great to catch up with her and many other blogging friends.

Day 263 – Saturday 20th September – after waking up at the shockingly late hour (for me) of 8am (OK, so I didn’t go to sleep until 2), it was time to pack up and bid a fond farewell to London.
