Project 365: Week 30

The first week of the summer holidays and the sun has been shining every day!

Here’s what we’ve been up to this week…

Day 201 – Sunday 20th July – we got inspired to get some new plants for our garden. We love the lupins.

Day 202 – Monday 21st July – we welcomed some new friends to our family – without really thinking it through! More on those next week.

Day 203 – Tuesday 22nd July – my daughter loves creating new hairstyles. This is such a pretty style for a summer day.

Day 204 – Wednesday 23rd July – I managed to get close enough to the guinea pigs to take a photo!

Day 207 – Saturday 26th July – the boys went on Scout camp for a whole week, but I didn’t manage to get a photo I could share. We went to the outdoor swimming pool in the afternoon.

    • Thanks, it’s hard keeping the lupins alive in this weather! We’re so pleased with our guinea pigs 🙂

  2. Ah the Lido again, must put that on the list of things to do. We have had the guinea pig conversation many times, but we have never done anything about it. They do look really cute though.

    • I’d never considered guinea pigs until very recently, but I’m now convinced they’re the perfect pet! We didn’t go to the lido for so many years, but we’ve loved our trips there this summer.

    • Our lupins are struggling in this weather, probably not the best idea to plant them in a heatwave!

  3. Wow, that’s a huge pool. Ours is 50m by 20 but we have lanes, or public swim – so holiday swim times means no more lunchtime lanes as they won’t bloke off one or 2.

Hope the guinea pigs are settling in well

    • The guinea pigs are settling in really well! This is a 50m pool, but also very wide, so there’s room for lanes and playing 🙂

  4. Those piggies are adorable. Where is that outside pool it looks amazing? Your little girl’s hair style is lovely. Boho chic. Or festival chic.

    • Bless her, she loves doing her hair! Pool is in Cheltenham – it’s very old-fashioned, which is lovely.

    • I’m sure there will be lots more on the guinea pigs! The lupins are struggling a bit in the heat unfortunately.

  7. Wow that pool is huge. Wish we had a nice outdoor pool near us.

Lovinh the guinea pigs, Emmy has convinced us to get her a hamster

    • I decided against a hamster because they’re nocturnal, but they do make a good first pet.

love your new guinea pigs, such gently little creatures – you will be able to give TBaM some advice lol x

    • I certainly will be able to give TBaM advice! We’re not really animal lovers and are complete newbies to pets, so we would be completely honest with our advice! We;re so happy with them though 🙂

  10. The lupins are gorgeous and that pool is enormous. We keep talking about visiting an outdoor pool – there are a few around, but a bit of a drive so would need to be organised that day.
