e-outdoor: The perfect shop for Scouts

Regular readers will know my eldest is a very dedicated Scout. While his brother is a footballer and rugby player and his sister a dancer, Scouting really is number 1 son’s thing. Last year he went on a week-long Scout camp and won a prize for catching the biggest fish on camp, then a few months later he won the Scout of the year trophy at his Scout group.

Just this term my younger son moved up from Cubs and became a Scout too. He’s really loving it already – it’s a lot more exciting and challenging for him than Cubs. This weekend, they have their very first Scout camp together. I’ve never had both boys away at the same time before, it’s going to feel very strange.

They set off earlier today and it wasn’t until Wednesday morning that I realised – I actually woke up in a panic – we don’t have enough equipment to go around! Of course they’ve got their own clothes and walking boots, but we only have one camping plate, cup and cutlery, one of the pairs of waterproof trousers is missing (although they definitely had a pair each once) and we only have one big rucksack! There’s no way they can both fit all of their stuff in there, so I needed to get some new equipment – and fast!

That’s why www.e-outdoor.co.uk is right up our street. It’s a website packed with everything you need for camping, climbing and the great outdoors. There’s tents, walking boots, sleeping bags, clothing and rucksacks to name but a few. They stock lots of the big outdoor brands, have many items in the sale, offer free delivery (on orders over £30), a price match promise and 60 day returns and exchanges. So we were very pleased when we were asked to choose something from the site.

My eldest chose this blue North Face Tshirt. The men in my life are all fans of North Face – it’s a good quality, outdoor brand, but is also quite trendy. He’ll be the coolest Scout on camp this weekend.

Although quite a few years past Scout age, my husband decided to choose something for himself too. He went for this North Face 1/4 zip tee. It’s lightweight and quick drying – perfect for long walks or cycling. He’s really pleased with it and will get lots of use out of it.

Our items arrived very quickly and we will be definitely taking another look at e-outdoor next time we need equipment for Scouts.

  1. It’s really nice to hear he loves being a scout so much – I literally cannot wait for my son to be old enough to join the beavers and then cubs 🙂 This tee looks perfect and North Face is such good quality 🙂

  2. That sounds like a great company for kids who like outdoors. My two have both stopped Cubs now which I am quite sad about. R decided that he didn’t want to move up and has opted for more sport and L just didn’t enjoy it. I am sad that they have stopped though as they got so much from doing it.
