BiB awards – thank you!

I said I wouldn’t say the ‘a’ word again this year. I promised I wouldn’t beg for more votes, because it was all done and dusted. I was VERY happy to have made the finals of the MAD Blog Awards for the second year running and I thanked you all and asked you all as politely as I possibly could if you wouldn’t mind voting for me, please?

Oh, and there were some other awards. The BiBs – that’s the Brilliance in Blogging awards run by Britmums. I did ask you nicely to nominate me, but I felt a bit guilty. You’d already been so good with the MAD Blog Awards and I’d made it to the finals. It was a bit greedy to ask for even more nominations, wasn’t it?

Plus the form was a bit complicated, even for bloggers. So goodness knows how non-bloggers would find it.

Oh, and the only category I was really eligible for was craft food family. Yes, family. You know how you become a family the second you have a baby and you’re still a family when your kids are all grown up and off to uni? That. Every parent blogger under the sun was eligible for that category. I’m aware I stand a reasonable chance when a category is called schooldays because actually there aren’t that many ‘big kid’ bloggers about, but FAMILY?

But then the list came out. And there’s my good friend 3 Children and It right at the top of the list, because numbers come even before A. And there’s some more bloggers, and some bloggers, and they’re all good, well-respected bloggers… And there’s – ME! Yes, me. Me and my little old blog. I was so excited to see my name and really couldn’t believe it.

So thank you once more to all the lovely people who nominated me and thought I deserved an award. I really am very grateful to you for taking the time.

This time it’s a shortlist of 16, which will be whittled down to six for the finals in June. So I’m afraid, yet again, I am going to ask if you would consider voting for me. You’ll be pleased to know that it’s much more simple this time.

If you click on the magic badge below it will take you right through to where you can vote. You’ve got a couple of weeks as voting closes on 16th May. Thank you!

I was so pleased to see lots of my blogging friends up for an award this year. Well done to all of you – all very well-deserved!
