What she wore: nautical pinafore

My daughter got this dress and long-sleeved Tshirt from M&S for her birthday. I’m not sure what you call the dress – a pinafore, a dungaree dress, a bib skirt? Either way, it’s not much more than a skirt.

It’s made of a soft denim material with a simple all-over embroidered design. It came in a set with this long-sleeved nautical striped Tshirt. You can’t beat nautical stripes in the spring – I think they suit absolutely everyone!

Fashion, daughter, M&S, spring

The dress is comfortable and casual, but smarter than shorts for spring and summer – perfect for an active, fashion-loving girl.

As we’re not into summer yet, she wore it with her grey school tights and her favourite Clarks shoes. I love those shoes, but they do look a bit too wintry now. It will be nice to see this outfit with sandals or even her Converse.

  1. See, I have to disagree with you, I don’t think nautical stripes would suit me, stripes full stop never do. However, your daughter’s outfit looks fabulous (as always) and I can’t help but feel envious. And yes to the converse!

  2. Thanks very much, Mummy Glitzer! To be fair I don’t know if nautical stripes suit me either, as I’ve never tried them! But my boys wear them too from time to time and they all lovely in them. She’s just ordered herself some new Converse, so hopefully we can say goodbye to the wintry shoes now!
