Project 365: Week 15

It’s the first week of the Easter holidays and we haven’t done a lot. It’s been nice to just relax with the kids and not have to worry about going to work.

So here’s what we’ve been up to this week…

Day 96 – Sunday 6th April – my daughter was ill at the weekend, so I spent a fair amount of time playing this board game to keep her happy.

Day 97 – Monday 7th April – I was in the local newspaper as a finalist in the MAD Blog Awards! I was really pleased with the story.

Day 98 – Tuesday 8th April – not an awful lot happened, so I’m sharing a little bit of my house I really like – the bathroom wall and door!

Day 99 – Wednesday 9th April – we’re going up Snowdon soon, so we were back up the hills getting fit and breaking in our new walking boots.

Day 100 – Thursday 10th April – we walked to the swimming pool and my younger son was fascinated by some tiny blue flowers he saw growing out of a crack in the pavement. Then we noticed them in lots of gardens. When we got home we realised we had them in our garden too.

Day 101 – Friday 11th April – we were back up the hill again training for our walk up Snowdon.

Day 102 – Saturday 12th April – my sister’s best friend got married. Although we weren’t guests at the wedding, we couldn’t resist going to see my sister and niece as bridesmaids. My niece had time for a cuddle with two of her big cousins.

    • Thanks, Leanne! I was pleased with the piece in the paper – thought they’d only do a tiny piece. Glad you like the bathroom – it’s mainly white tiles apart from that bit. It’s my husband’s design, I think he’s done a good job!

  7. I think those are the first forget-me-nots I’ve seen last year. Ours aren’t out yet. Love your bathroom too. The dark colours seem to work really well. Good luck with Snowdon.

    • Thanks, Erica, I’m looking forward to it. Our garden is over-run with forget-me-nots! I don’t know why I hadn’t noticed them before. The dark colour is good for the bathroom because the majority of it is white tiles.

  9. I am MOST impressed that your’e all climbing up Mount Snowdon – well done you! When are you doing that? Are all your kids excited? I really love that dark grey colour of your bathroom – would never think to choose that but it looks striking against the oak door.

    • We’re all excited about Snowdon, Suzanne (although I’m slightly nervous of course!). The dark colour was the husband’s choice, but I think it works well as the rest of the bathroom is such a bright white.
