What she wore: Spring dungarees

Now spring has well and truly arrived, my birthday girl is finally bidding a fond farewell to the Joules horse dress which she has pretty much worn every Saturday and every Sunday throughout January and February, and is cracking open the spring wardrobe. She bought this dungarees and Tshirt set from Next’s S/S 14 collection with her Christmas money.

It looked like a pinafore dress at first, but closer inspection revealed it was actually little shorts. The dungarees are navy with a tiny white heart print pattern and they came with a pale grey Tshirt.

The weather really was lovely at the weekend, but it wasn’t quite warm enough to go out in shorts and Tshirt on their own, so she wore them with her grey school tights, which seem to go with everything. She added this lovely mint cardigan from Next. The cardigan is a really beautiful colour and texture and seems to go well with a lot of things – perhaps surprisingly for such an unusual colour.

It was so nice to see my daughter dressed for spring and wearing something different for a change. Long may it continue!

  1. Ooh that is pretty!! A would love that but I must admit I avoid dungarees with her as she is still at that ‘need to go the toilet very quickly’ stage.

  2. Thanks very much, ladies 🙂 They probably do it, Kara – it’s in the older girls’ range which goes from 3.
