Project 365: Week 13

This was the week I finished work after 15 years at the same place. So most of my photos this week are work-related in some way.

Here’s what we’ve been up to this week…

Day 82 – Sunday 23rd March – my daughter and I ran for Sport Relief. We did three miles and I was so proud of her. She was very happy to ‘do a Jessica Ennis’ with her medal.

Day 83 – Monday 24th March – this should have been my last Monday at work, but things didn’t go to plan. My eldest sprained his ankle at rugby and we ended up at A&E first thing. They don’t give crutches for sprained ankles, so as he couldn’t walk it was a day at home for both of us.

Day 84 – Tuesday 25th March – I couldn’t leave work without sharing a view of Gloucester docks, which I walked through every day.

Day 85 – Wednesday 26th March – my last ever day at work! I arrived in the morning to find my best friend had decorated my monitor with some lovely memories.

Day 86 – Thursday 27th March – the first day of the rest of my life. This is a photo of the beautiful flowers my colleagues gave me.

Day 87 – Friday 28th March – my leaving do, shared with three other colleagues, was a predictably crazy one. Here’s two of my favourite ladies singing along to the karaoke in a gay bar.

Day 88 – Saturday 29th March – the kids had a busy day and I was mainly a taxi service. The weather was much warmer and I noticed this lovely blossom in the garden.

  7. Thanks very much, everyone! It was quite an emotional week, but it’s onwards and upwards now!
You’re right, Judith, yesterday was the proper first day of my life and it was OK. Although I didn’t do anything towards my new business. Going to get focused over the next few days. x
