What she wore: Watching football

Regular readers will know my daughter and I spend a large proportion of the weekends on the touchline – football on Saturdays and rugby on Sundays. And we have to dress up warm

I love this outfit my daughter put together to watch her brother play football. She looks such a little posh girl!

These deer print leggings were from Sainsburys, but they make her look like a real country young lady. She’s got her usual denim shorts on, but you can’t see them very well here. She’s wearing her Joules coat that she bought with her money and her lovely Next wellies. My girl looks very stylish for hanging round on the touchline, but she likes to look stylish all the time. And if you spend half the weekend on sports fields, you might as well make the effort to look good!

She’s not the only one who’s been rocking animal prints lately. It takes something pretty special to get me out of my staple Superdry uniform, but I love all the cute animal designs around at the moment. I especially like animals wearing glasses!

I really like this soft knitted jumper with an owl’s face on it from Dorothy Perkins. It’s made of a delicate cotton mix and is the palest pink – so pale it hardly looks pink at all in some lights. I haven’t bought anything from Dorothy Perkins for years, but I’m really pleased with this.

My daughter and I are debating whether the owl is wearing glasses or whether it’s just the owl’s eyes. Either way, it looks and feels fab. I’ve even had a few compliments about it! I might have made it out of my Superdry hoodies, but I haven’t changed that much – I’m still wearing it with jeans of course!

But maybe I’m just slightly giving my daughter a run for her money in the touchline style stakes!

I was sent this Dorothy Perkins jumper for the purposes of this post. All views are my own.

  1. You both look lovely and very stylish for the touchlines ! I love Sainsburys for girls clothes but I find they come up quite small in their sizes and always need to get an age up for my daughter.

  4. Thanks very much, everyone. I love the owl matching my glasses too, Louise! We don’t usually buy much in Sainsburys, but I think we might be converted!
