What she wore – Ballet class

Last autumn, my daughter passed her Primary ballet exam (after doing ballet for only six months!). Moving up to Grade 1 classes meant a new ballet uniform. This time there was no little skirt to protect the modesty and prevent the Peppa Pig knickers from flashing plus the cardigan is made of Tshirt material rather than wool, so she needed something to keep her warm and decent on the way to class.

She has been coveting the Joules Royal Ballet collection for as long as I can remember, so she got the tracksuit bottoms and hoodie for Christmas. The joggers have lovely roll up legs and a delicate pink tie which is perfect for ballet and goes very well with the new more grown up leotard and ballet cardigan.

The hoodie is pink with a delicate grey stripe that perfectly matches the joggers and has the all-important Royal Ballet logo.

She loves her ballet tracksuit and feels like a proper ballet dancer in it.

  2. Thanks very much, ladies 🙂 She’s a natural, Lorraine! Judo is just as good as ballet, as long as they’re getting some physical exercise AND learning a skill, who cares what they’re doing?
Really appreciate you both taking the time to comment.

  3. Those are really cute! Thanks for linking again – can I be a real pain and ask that you add my Trendy Tuesday badge or a link to my blog? I don’t like asking, I feel like I’m nagging, but otherwise no one gets to hear about Trendy Tuesday!

    Thanks,

    Alex

  4. Aw, congrats on the exam – I remember when I passed mine (just a few short years ago…) Love the tracksuit, puts me in mind of when I always had to put my towelling pyjamas on ahead of Fame coming on the TV, so I could do my dance routine to the theme tune in my version of a dance tracksuit. I was very young at the time, honestly I was.

  5. I can just picture you doing that! I wasn’t much of a dancer as a kid (I was dreadful tbh), but this is exactly what my daughter does! She wears her onesie for watching BGT/ Ashley Banjo’s Secret Street Crew as it makes it easier for her to do the moves!
